Jill and Derick knew a normal life wasn’t possible for them. As a star on the popular TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting, Jill grew up in front of viewers who were fascinated by her family’s way of life. She was the responsible, second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle’s nineteen kids; always with a baby on her hip and happy to wear the modest ankle-length dresses with throat-high necklines.

Story
Several months after his neighborhood was cloaked in darkness and invaded by the demon-like denizens of a hellish world, life has returned to normal for Miah Gray, a.k.a. Laser Chicken. No longer burdened by PTSD, he is free to enjoy his family and to help pick up the pieces of a pillaged world. At night, he trains with his eight-year-old companion, Bree, a.k.a. Demon Dog, and their neighbors Henry and Sarah, the god-like descendants of Helen of Sparta and the mythological Zeus. All is calm...until new neighbors move in across the street and shatter the peace.

That's Mental breaks down myths and misconceptions about what it means to be a millennial with mental illness in a darkly funny, but relatable way. In her new book, Rosenberg addresses the overlooked and offbeat issues of mental illness, shedding light on topics that are off limits, uncomfortable, or just downright embarrassing. This book details every challenging and awkward stage of Amanda's journey with mental illness and how she manages what she calls her "garden variety crazy."

Amanda is absolutely relatable; her humor is sarcastic and dry in the best way possible. Her blatant candor is refreshing. As someone who has struggled similarly this was an absolute breath of fresh air; there isn't any sugar coating but by no mean does she brow beat the reading. It's raw, hilarious, factually researched, entertaining and relatable 5 stars across the board.

Whilst I can see why many people dislike this book I personally loved it. I've never listened to a book where I was compelled to go back to previous chapters for bits of information. I feel I understand Jake the character much better now that I am fairly positive i know his origin story. Then again I have always enjoyed the characters in a book more so than the endgame of the series. 5/5 for me. ( all the expected supplication to RC Bray) ;p

Story
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

I found this book on accident and thought "oh what the hell, why not", i was not expecting this great story. I am somewhat flustered to be discovering i pocked up a saga not exactly in the beginning but i digress. If i had to compare this to any Sci-Fi legend i would say it is a very modern and more flushed out spirit of "the forever war". I can't wait to begging on the rest of this story with such great potential.
