This Is one of the best Louise Penny books in a few years. if you're a fan you're in for a treat although I did miss the 3 Pines regulars.

Beautifully written, beautifully read. Definitely worth the time. Mandel skillfully manages to negotiate time and space to weave a tale of betrayal, addiction and light successfully.

Totally Engrossing

Beautifully written story of parallel existence of two children on different continents during WWII. Eerkens examines a perspective of history that isn't taught in American schools. I walked away feeling like I too had spent time in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. Skillful depiction of times that echo current happenings. I highly recommend and am looking forward to reading this story myself.

Very Enjoyable

I really enjoyed the story and the way the story was presented. My only issue is that I thought the narrator sounded too old to be a 30 year old character. Minor, I'd definitely recommend!
