Story
The last thing Sanda remembers is her gunship exploding. She expected to be recovered by salvage medics and to awaken in friendly hands, patched up and ready to rejoin the fight. Instead she wakes up 230 years later, on a deserted enemy starship called The Light of Berossus - or, as he prefers to call himself, 'Bero'. Bero tells Sanda the war is lost. That the entire star system is dead. But is that the full story? After all, in the vastness of space, anything is possible.

Not a good title if you're on a good run of books

I might be picky after being amazed by the last couple of books. This one just isnt playing in the same league.
Interpersonal relations seem about as shallow and forced as the plot devices that just doesnt cause excitement..
Narrator is about par for the course.

Story
The decision to start a new life is never an easy one, but for Joe the transition was far from figurative. Becoming a permanent addition to a game world, it doesn't take long to learn that people with his abilities are actively hunted. In fact, if the wrong people gained knowledge of what he was capable of, assassins would appear in droves.

Painful to listen to the first part of the book. Not sure I enjoy paying for this.

This is one book that just did not need to be a part of the discussion, right now.

Great way to spend time, if you're thirteen

Storyline is disjointed and void of meaning. Waiting for the storyline to tighten up and make sense, but it was a never-ending downhill experience. Audio has got weird additions from different recording, it's unsettling, and show that little care has been taken in producing the audiobook.
I'd say this is a great place to go if you want to be disappointed, because you will be. The only thing that impresses is the length, this resques the book from a solid 1-star review.
