Amazing and satisfying as always. I love how many different kinds of women are in this novel even the evil kinds of women. Its the complex characterization thats often missing from so many novels.

The Britney we missed

This came from such a genuine place you feel so bad about what happened to her and how quick we all were to believe she was crazy. I still can’t believe her dad thought canned vegetables were the healthy way to loose weight. In California no less! The land of delicious fresh produce! Also how messed up would you be if your dad was just casually like you looked so fat out there and then had the power to put you on a diet. Also you are Britney damn spears and hot as all get out! That guy needs to be in jail for taking all her money for 13 years!

Story
Something was wrong with Peter. Eilene Zimmerman noticed that her ex-husband looked thin, seemed distracted, and was frequently absent from activities with their children. Yet in many ways, Peter seemed to have it all. So begins Smacked, a brilliant and moving memoir of Eilene’s shocking discovery, one that sets her on a journey to find out how a man she knew for nearly 30 years became a drug addict, hiding it so well that neither she nor anyone else in his life suspected what was happening.

This was such a fascinating story excellently seeded with background information. By the end of it i had several more books and people to look up for further information. Not dry at all with all that information I got through this in two days!
