Oscar is my hero

I am native to LV and I remember Oscar as the 2nd best mayor in LV history. (1st being Carolyn). this book is true to the attitude of Vegas and so is Oscar. I would recommend this to anyone who wants some insight into why many of us say that mob-run Vegas was safer and better than government run Vegas. of you're. a local you'll be surprised by how much Oscar really did for LV but o can assure you no one else has done so much.

Such a fun book & a good introduction to Felicia

What did you love best about You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost)?

You know how sometimes you get stuck reading someone's blog that you've never heard of before... At first it's just a post but eventually you have to rewind to the first one and just read the whole thing because it's captured you for some reason... That's the feeling I got from this book. It was a lot of fun and made even better narrated by Felicia herself.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I sort-of knew who Felicia was before. I definitely recognized the name and associated her with Wil Wheaton but I probably wouldn't have been able to tell you what she did other than the dating your avatar thing. She happens to be a fascinating person who I think a lot of people can relate to (especially those with "special interests" aka: geeky folks). However, she's not my favorite character... of course the build-a-bear tutu wearing santa clause was... he was a very vibrant character indeed!

Great book... decided to give it a chance based on Audible advertisements and glad that I did. I am now a Felicia Day fan and seek out her work online :)

Not for introduction to conservative economics

this book is great if you are already a libertarian or financially conservative but u think newbies would have a tough time getting past the very hard line perspective. I enjoyed it but wouldn't use it to convert a liberal or even moderate friend.

This book has a major cliffhanger ending. Be prepared to have to read the other books if you want to or not :p

Easier when heard in his own voice lol

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

I could have gotten away with success if it hadn't been for those meddling governments. Overall that is the message, and as a fellow Libertarian I agree. John always does a great job of outlining ways that the government gets in our way. Sometimes in areas that we dont always notice.
If you already believe that competition and free market are good, but aren't sure just how much we need to be let to experiement and grow then this book is for you. If you already agree and just like hearing more about what you believe like me, then this book is still for you. Great quotes for when debating politics ;)
