Read the book instead of listening
Reviewed: 04-30-24
The book is a heartwarming Christian romance. The storyline was good. The problem was with the narration. The narrator barely changes voices for the characters. Most of the book is very monotone. There is no pause between chapters. He just finished the last line in the chapter and then says "Chapter X" and moves on. There are multiple times where he repeats a line or he stumbles over the lines. There are times when his voice is so quiet you can barely hear it. Awful narration! Don't waste your credits or money. READ the book!

Fizzles
Reviewed: 07-15-16
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I was expecting the end of this series to go out with a bang, but it just fizzled at the end.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I don't want to spoil for anyone, but please, Sylvia Day, finish your storylines!
Have you listened to any of Jill Redfield and Jeremy York ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
The narrators are fantastic in this series.
Any additional comments?
Pretty disappointed in the ending of this series after waiting a long time for this book to come out.

The story was well written and I enjoyed it. I wish that the author would take some of the characters in this story and develop a series. I would definitely read a series by the author.

Brandon's story is so heartfelt that I had a hard time putting this one down. I really felt all the emotions that he went through with "Starting Over". I also enjoyed that this story included all the O'Malley clan and their lives.
Narration was great as always. Sorry to see the series end, but I will look for more books from this author.

This is the second book in this series and while I thought the book should have been mostly about Claire, a good portion of the book is centered around her daughter Kate. I had a really hard time with Kate's story in this book, older man-young girl....
Narration was great again, and I loved Aidan and Claire's story. The series has been a good series overall, so far.

This is the 3rd book in the series and I must say I enjoyed it the most. While all the stories are a little predictable the characters are well developed and I felt like I knew these characters from the other 2 books, so hearing their story was a joy.
Narration is good. It is easy to tell the characters apart and I enjoyed the listen.

A little predictable, but a good book
Reviewed: 05-23-13
The storyline in the book is a little predictable but overall it was a good book. The character development is very good in the story. It is a little easy to get lost as the narrator has voice changes, but not significant, between the male and female characters. Maybe if the author had used strictly male names for males and female names for female. I got a little thrown off with Jamie (male) and Andi (female) when the two were in the storyline together. All in all a good book, narration was good except for the aforementioned issue.

Narration is horrible
Reviewed: 12-26-12
While the storyline is pretty good in this novel, it is hard to follow the characters due to the narration. The narrator has very little distinction between the voices of her characters, making it hard to determine which character is speaking. It is often times confusing as to what is going on in the story because you don't know which character is speaking. Additionally, some of the characters are British and the accent does not change into a British accent for those characters. I believe I would have enjoyed this book more if I had just read it.

Disappointed
Reviewed: 04-03-12
The last book in the Bailey Flanigan series is a disappointment for me. Kingsbury spent a lot of time building up the relationship between Cody and Bailey only to let it die in the end. If she was going to finish the book the way that she did, then I don't fee that she should have let the listener have so many feelings about Cody and Bailey being together. I am not sure if I am going to listen to any more books by Kingsbury for awhile. I have listened to or read all of her books until this point, however, I think this series has spoiled that for me for awhile. While I think she is an amazing author, she did not do this seried justice and left many of her fans disappointed with this latest installment of the Bailey Flanigan series.
The narrators in the book were great and portrayed a miriad of emotions, it was just the story that was disappointing.

In the midst of the celebration and success, Cody finds himself much closer to a woman who seems to better understand him and his new life.
