Publisher's summary

In Longing, the third book in the Bailey Flanigan Series by best-selling author Karen Kingsbury, Bailey struggles with her feelings for longtime love Cody even as she grows closer to movie star Brandon Paul.

After a long and lonely silence from Cody Coleman, Bailey Flanigan begins to spend more and more time with her Hollywood co-star Brandon Paul. Nights on the town in New York City and long talks on the balcony of Brandon's Malibu Beach home make Bailey dizzy with new feelings and cause her to wonder if her days with Cody are over forever.

Meanwhile, Cody's work coaching a small-town football team has brought him and his players national attention. In the midst of the celebration and success, Cody finds himself much closer to a woman who seems to better understand him and his new life.

Even so, rarely does time go by without Bailey and Cody longing for each other and unable to move forward. Will an unexpected loss be the turning point for Cody? Will Cody and Bailey find a way back together again for the first time in more than a year? And if they do, will their brief time together be enough to help them remember all they've been longing for?

Featuring members of the popular Baxter family from best-selling author Karen Kingsbury’s beloved Redemption series, discover what’s in store for these two beloved characters.

Sweet, contemporary Christian romance.

Real Christians doing Real Life

I love the development of each character. The storyline is easy to follow and characters are so real as they are challenged in their faith with real life issues. This series encouraged me to stay praying in the big and small things. Just like the characters pray. I love this series about the Baxters, and although I have read the books randomly before, I am now listening to it on Audible in sequence. It is good solid listening that will encourage any weary soul.

Always a good read

I have read 5 Karen Kingsbury novels and I have never been disappointed. I recommend reading the Bailey Flanigan novels from the beginning.

Karen Kingsbury pens another winner.

I absolutely love everything she writes, although in this series, I think I may have missed the very beginning ..
or it may be I've listened to so many books I've lost my way. I would have liked to have read when Bailey and Cody first met.

What a story

Guess life doesn't always turn out the way you wanted. I also have a first love that would never be possible, though differently from this, but guess God is the Author of our lives. There are so many spiritual truths in your books, that they are a blessing and hope you reach many thousands of people with these truths so God could use your seed to bring those people into His Kingdom. Narrators fantastic as usual!

Realistic, God-centered, Romance

Karen Kingsbury’s characters wrestle with what it means to follow God in the midst of life’s challenges and conflicting emotions. Realistic dialogue clarifies characters’ faith journey as it inspires readers to pursue their own walk with God.
