I really enjoyed this fake relationship romance! Hollis and Larissa have great instant chemistry and banter. I really loved the character growth and the development of a fake relationship to real feelings (it was quick but believable). I liked that both Hollis and Larissa had issues they had to work through to get to their happily ever after. I also have to give a shout-out to Grandma Judy – she is such a gem of a character! Everyone should be so lucky to have a Grandma Judy in their life. Although I haven’t read/listened to Adriana’s other series, I thoroughly enjoyed all of the side characters and I am definitely going to check out the Landry series and the Mason series. As for the narration, Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are top notch! Teddy perfectly captures Hollis’ guarded exterior but sweet, soft center. Erin just embodies any character she narrates. Overall, a wonderful romance with excellent narration! *I received a promotional code for this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.*

I read Missing in Action when it came out last spring and loved it, so I knew I’d have to listen to the audiobook, especially with these narrators. The book is about Wes, a CIA operative who is forced to recuperate at his brother’s home after having his cover blown and being injured, and Tom, an organized, buttoned up man with a painful family history. Wes and Tom have immediate chemistry and connection. The story is a sexy, emotional one, as Wes and Tom learn to trust, love, and be fully themselves. And so many swoonworthy moments! I also love that we get to catch up a bit with the Walshes, the Halsteds, and even Kaisal and April! (This book, though, is a complete standalone, and there is no need to read the Walsh series or Coastal Elite, although you’ll love them if you do!)

As for the narration – it is beyond awesome! Teddy Hamilton is amazing as Wes! His voice just perfectly embodies Wes, the restless, injured, lonely spy who is figuring out his next step. Jacob Morgan is wonderful as Tom! He captures Tom’s vulnerability, sass/attitude, and humor. #JeddyForever And we get Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers briefly reprising their roles as Will and Shannon – perfection!

Overall, this is an amazing audiobook and I highly recommend it!

3.5 stars! I enjoyed this slow burn, new adult sibling’s best friend romance! Oliver and Luna had great chemistry and banter, and clearly were meant for each other. I liked that the story had depth to it, including Oliver’s alcohol addiction recovery/sobriety journey and Luna dealing with her parents’ divorce. At times, though, the story seemed a bit slow to me. I did not read/listen to the other books in the series prior to this one and did not feel lost, so I think this book could easily be listened to as a standalone. As for the narration, I was happily surprised that this was narrated in duet! This was my first time listening to Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross, and I thought the duet narration flowed smoothly. I especially liked Kai’s narration for Luna.

I enjoyed this fun, sexy space romp! I thought the story was an interesting and unique spin on the nanny/boss trope – a human nanny for alien babies who has an instant connection with the babies’ dad. I liked getting to know the alien world and I thought the little bit of intrigue and drama with the babies’ biological mother was good. The narrators were good too! I especially liked Patrick Zeller’s growly, deep voice for Aegir.

4.5 stars! I thoroughly enjoyed this steamy, emotional take on the office/boss romance trope! Lizzy, a college student, and Nick, a rich CEO, have a memorable night together in San Francisco. They don’t exchange real names or talk about their work, but they have an instant connection and share some of their past tragedies with each other. Three months later, Lizzy shows up to interview for an internship in New York City that will bring her back near her older sister and discovers that Nick is the CEO and would be her boss. Of course, Lizzy ends up being offered the internship and takes it, although both Lizzy and Nick agree it will be all business. From there, sparks fly! Lizzy and Nick have insane chemistry together and the steamy scenes were hot! Lizzy and Nick also share a deeper emotional connection as they learn to trust each other and open themselves up to love. There is some drama/conflict near the end as Nick’s brother interferes and attempts to sell the company and issues Lizzy an ultimatum, but I liked how that conflict served as a catalyst for Lizzy and Nick to acknowledge their feelings to themselves and each other. It was so easy to root for Lizzy and Nick to get their happily ever after! I also loved the glimpse into the future in the epilogue!

The book is told entirely from Lizzy’s point of view and Virginia Rose absolutely nailed the narration! Virginia perfectly captures Lizzy in all her sassy, flirty glory and Nick with his brooding, intense personality. This was my first listen by Crystal Kaswell, but it will definitely not be my last!

Promising Premise but Just Okay

2.5 stars - Although the narration was good, this story was just okay for me. The story begins with a fun meet cute and the premise had a lot of promise, but I did not really connect with the story. I thought that Pansy was immature, and I did not like Silas’ anger issues and jealousy. Silas and Pansy also had a ton of family drama/baggage, which for me drew the focus away from their budding romance. I also did not enjoy all of the added drama near the end. I thought the narration by Jacob Morgan was great, though, and although this was my first listen by Callie Dalton, I thought her voice fit Pansy’s character well. Ultimately, this may be a case of a book just not being for me.

This book was dark and twisted, and there were elements that made me uncomfortable, but overall the twists and turns and excellent narration kept me glued to my earbuds. The characters were interesting and complex, and I am looking forward to seeing what happens with them in the next book. Many secrets were revealed, but I have a feeling there will be so much more revealed in the second book. (Warning: Those with triggers should definitely proceed with caution before listening.)

The narration by Jacob Morgan and Emma Wilder was wonderful! The two of them were perfect as Cooper and Cadee.

This was a great steamy second chance romance with a lot of depth and emotion packed in! Maleen and Braydon were high school sweethearts separated at 18 who reconnect 14 years later and quickly pick up where they left off. They both have experienced failed marriages and disappointments in life, but find that they still have love and chemistry together. Braydon’s ex-wife was a bit much (she was the worst!), but I liked that there was no real drama or conflict between Mal and Bray. The narration by Ava Lucas and Jason Clarke was excellent! This is the perfect listen for anyone looking for a shorter, steamy romance!

4.5 stars! I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I have been waiting for Morley’s story since book one and was not disappointed. Morley is a man on a secret mission after hours and his first encounter with Pru is surprising and passionate. The two of them have amazing chemistry throughout the book. They meet again three months later under unusual and strained circumstances and crime solving ensues. I loved the development of the relationship between Morley and Pru and thought the two of them made for a good pairing. Derek Perkins was an excellent narrator and really brought the story and characters to life!

Although this book could be listened to as a standalone, I think it would be enjoyed more if the listener has read/listened to the previous books in the series. It was a lot of fun to catch up with some the characters from previous books and the banter among the guys was so much fun!

Smart and Sexy Romance!

I loved this audiobook! The story was smart and sexy, and I loved the whole cast of characters. Jackie is a brilliant, yet awkward NASA engineer who goes off on tangents of random facts/knowledge when she’s nervous (they were both informative and entertaining). I loved that Jackie wears glasses and loves cowboy romances and all things Space Age! Flynn is a hot mechanic dealing with family issues and an awful breakup/ex-girlfriend, but he is great at making Jackie feel comfortable. The chemistry and the development of the relationship between Jackie and Flynn were great and realistic. I liked that Flynn really wanted to get to know Jackie and draw her out of her shell. All of the NASA/space and car details were interesting and made the story feel authentic. The supporting characters – Jules (the astronaut), Trish (the bartender friend), Rose (Flynn’s sister), Ian (Jackie’s coworker), and Holt (Flynn’s brother) - were also awesome! I am hoping to listen to their love stories in the future!

The narration was fantastic! Samantha Brentmoor was great as Jackie, capturing all of her intelligence and insecurity, and Lee Samuels was wonderful as Flynn, especially when calls Jackie “darlin’”.

Overall, this book was a unique, fun listen and I will definitely be listening to future audiobooks by Sara L. Hudson!
