Not his best novel. The plot is ok but the whole story didn’t get me into the characters. While the narrator has excellent speech, the tone is not to my liking.

Fascinating story about good and evil in all people. Graphic character depictions. New York City in all its mid-century glory.

If it hadn’t been for the epilogue…

This book was silly in my opinion if I hadn’t heard the epilogue where the author tells of the truths in the story. It was interesting to me as I had lived in Kornwestheim, Germany in the late 1960’s and visited the three castles mentioned in the book. Worth a listen.

Riveting story with characters that jump Off the page. I was brought to tears several times. Extremely exciting action. This book would make a great movie. I’d go see it.

This story had me hooked from the beginning. The writing, the poignant story of a musician, the performers all added to my complete envelopment in the listening. I felt I was placed into the life of the story. I cried. Not every book brings such strong emotion. Thank you Mitch Albom for sharing your gift with the world. And a big thank you to the performers who brought this book to life for me.

A fascinating and thrilling story of life of the author’s grandmother during WWII and immediately after. A must read for those wanting to enrich their knowledge of how Jewish families triumph over extreme peril.

This is certainly not the usual Coben book as we know it. There are too many characters to keep track of and the story is so complicated that I didn’t know if I wanted to keep listening. I did finish it and thought to myself WHY.

A great children’s book and yes, I did tear up at the end. I think I shall always be a child at heart, even at 73.

Up until the bitter end you will never guess how this book ends. Jodi Picoult has again given us a book full of questions and a zinger of an ending.

At first I was very confused about what was going on in the book. There was so much going back in time and the now. I finally got it straightened out. The story was OK. It took me till almost the end to figure out who was who and how each character fit in to the story.
