Story
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

Story
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a tiger by its toe. It's seared into Atlee Pine's memory: the kidnapper's chilling rhyme as he chose between six-year-old Atlee and her twin sister, Mercy. Mercy was taken. Atlee was spared. She never saw Mercy again. Three decades after that terrifying night, Atlee Pine works for the FBI. She's the lone agent assigned to the Shattered Rock, Arizona resident agency, which is responsible for protecting the Grand Canyon. So when one of the Grand Canyon's mules is found stabbed to death at the bottom of the canyon - and its rider missing - Pine is called in to investigate.

I have to say when I read the first book with this new character I was not all that impressed. Don't get me wrong, it was okay but I did enjoy it but it wasn't one of his best efforts I'm not sure if it was the character I didn't like how the story went I just can't put my finger on it. but this book was truly amazing, very much a character who I will now follow. the ending was great

Story
The Road to Key West is an adventurous/humorous sojourn that cavorts its way through the 1970s Caribbean, from Key West and the Bahamas, to Cuba and Central America. In August of 1971, Kansas Stamps and Will Bell set out to become nothing more than commercial divers in the Florida Keys, but adventure, or misadventure, seems to dog them at every turn.

A lot more than I expected

Let me start by saying at first I was very unimpressed with the narration, I am sorry but it just was not my cup of tea. BUT as the book went on and the story became more engaging, It sort of grew on meme. Now I hope the second book uses the the same man to narrate. Go figure This is sort fo a coming of age story, 2 guys, Key west transplants and lots of adventures, how could it go wrong? The answer is it can't. The characters the stories the pace all were perfect. Some of it a bit unbelievable., but so much fun. The story is about 2 guys, best friends ,; Kansas Stamps and Will Bell and its begins in 1971 and its a romp through the early part of the decade. I highly recommend this book

Story
In the grand tradition of Elmore Leonard, Laurence Shames creates an outrageous heavyweight thriller that’s heavy on atmosphere and action. Joey Goldman is a low-level New York hustler. He’s taking a working vacation in South Florida and looking to score big with a time-share scam. His half brother Gino Delgatto is a man in need of a fall guy. When they meet in Key West, the term dysfunctional family takes on a new meaning. Will one of them succeed? Or will the Miami mob find an eye-popping way to dispose of them both?

What other book might you compare Florida Straits to and why?
The style reminds me Tim Dorsey.
What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His voice, was amazing!

Story
Amos Decker witnesses a murder just outside FBI headquarters. A man shoots a woman execution style on a crowded sidewalk, then turns the gun on himself. Even with Decker's extraordinary powers of observation and deduction, the killing is baffling. Decker and his team can find absolutely no connection between the shooter - a family man with a successful consulting business - and his victim, a schoolteacher.

Possibly the best of the Series

If you could sum up The Fix in three words, what would they be?
Action, Emotion and excellent
What did you like best about this story?
the use of sub plots and personal stories back stories - the plot twists were well crated as well.
Which scene was your favorite?
Of course the final scenes - if say more i give it away
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?
This is 3rd book in the series and while you could easily read this one without reading the others, I suggest you do not do that, reading he first two gives you prospective. Typically well crafted novel, attention to details and interesting sub-plots. This entry in the Amos Decker series is possibly the most emotional, heart strings pulled but to the authors credit he did not try to use his book to promote a political agenda like so many do today. Kudos - I give this 5 stars and 5 fulls Lenny's - hang on its fun ride! I do hope there is a 4th book in the works

Where does Captain Action: Riddle of the Glowing Men rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I would say in the top 20
Who was your favorite character and why?
Well Captain action of course, love his Travels to the barren and the frozen wastelands of Siberia
Have you listened to any of Fred Wolinsky’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
First book by this author
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Made me smile, very easy to listen to and very enjoyable
Any additional comments?
First of all in all fairness and in the spirit of openness, let me tell you that I received a free copy of this book from the narrator. Let me also preface this by saying I am not a big fan of Pulp fiction, but this book may have changed my mind about that. The Author, Jim Beard, took an Iconic action figure from the late 1960’s and brought him to life. The story takes place during the Cold war era and while I was not crazy about the yacht cap our hero wore , that seemed a bit odd, the story its self was enjoyable. The descriptions of the various locals provided imagery and added that level of realism needed. Very well done. There were characters left out from the original stories, but this had no effect on this novel.
In summary if You are looking to spend some time with a highly entertaining book, this is one you should read. It’s fun and not to “serious” , I may now need to read more modern Pulp fiction.
