What a delight! A character-centric magical realism tale of womanhood, magic and the sea. The pacing is wonderful.

Well, I will. Loved the collision of cultures, the speculation about what a society of sentient spiders might look like, the harsh commentary on human nature but ultimately uplifting in its redemption. One complaint: needs a better title.

Not bad, but disappointingly dualistic after the brilliant subtleties of the Broken Earth Trilogy. I enjoyed the narrator.

Stories are hit-or-miss but the recipe/memoirs are wonderful. I'll probably return to this next Christmas.

Reads like highbrow literature meets comic book. Brilliant. Heteronormativity was laid on a bit thick.

A bit to militaristic for my taste, but compelling. Grating ending. Sloppy portrayal of autism.

Everytime I thought I had figured out Harari's angle, he took yet another tack. This book dismantles belief-systems.

Every element created in the true spirit of 80's nerd-dom. Wil Wheaton's reading is on point, if a little 2-dimensional.

Very illuminating. Some of the scathing commentary on others seemed unnecessary but the discussion of consciousness was clarifying.
