Story
In his new position as head of the Baptiste family business, Saint faces many challenges. Nothing could have prepared him for the challenges that came with dealing with the alluring Naoki Childs. She was the insoluble problem his big brother, Jahad, talked about. A problem that couldn't be handled with a phone call, a meeting, or by simply emptying his clip. Saint thought he'd never be faced with a problem he couldn't handle, especially where a woman was concerned. But he quickly learned that Naoki wasn't just some woman. She was much, much more than that.

Waste of a credit

Well I guess it was my fault. I saw how short the book was but after the 1st book, I thought maybe this would still be just as good...WRONG!! I am extremely happy that we are rid of the 3rd narrator and the Nigerian/Haitian accent was omitted. The characters were great as well. The book seemed rushed and incomplete. I spent a credit on half a book...ugh! So now we're doing sequels to the sequel? That's crazy! I guess I won't find out how this ends. I refuse!!

Story
From the moment his eyes met hers, there was something. Time stood still, the world around them vanished, and electricity... instant electricity. Immediately, she owned him in an inexplicable way he couldn’t quite understand. He couldn't escape her. Not in his dreams. And soon, not even in his reality. He was the man that made her soar. There was nothing in the world she wanted more than him. Absolutely nothing. His touch made her levitate. When she was with him, she was limitless. He felt like home.

Love the story

The storyline was great! The narrators for Cienna and Jahad did an excellent job. They gave the characters life. The 3rd narrator sounded like she was reading. I had to keep rewinding her parts because my mind would wander even though I wanted to hear her side of the story.

Love Nia Long as narrator

Nia was awesome as the narrator!! She did all of the characters justice. I would love to listen to more from her!
This wasn't what I expected but as an avid book reader and Audibles listener, I have enjoyed many books that weren't what I expected. It is different, but that doesn't mean it was bad. I find that in this day and age, books and movies by our people are dumbed down and do not challenge our intellect. This book does. I applaud that. Winter was stuck on stupid though, which was aggravating at first. Then when I thought about today's society, I realized it was right on point. It did what it was supposed to do. It made me think! Society, materialism, religion, personal growth, values, loyalty, our individual beliefs, etc... Thanks for a shift from the norm.
