Story
On April 13, 1986, ten-year-old Tiger Woods watches his idol, Jack Nicklaus, win his record sixth Masters. Just over a decade later, chants of “Ti-ger, Ti-ger!” ring out as the twenty- one-year-old wins his first Green Jacket. He blazes an incredible path, winning fourteen major titles (second only to Nicklaus himself) by the time he’s thirty- three, smashing records and raising standards. Then come multiple public scandals and potentially career-ending injuries.

Very thorough and enlightening.
Reviewed: 07-26-24
It was a good overview of Tiger's life and career. It would have been better with a narrator who has ever watched or played golf. At least do a pronunciation review before publication.
It felt like the book was read "cold' with no preparation. Same name/term would be pronounced differently. Many golf terms and players' names were butchered... STEVE Ballestrros? Tony Fin-now? aZINGer? Many others. Get a sports/golf analyst from NBC or ESPN to re recoed it.

Story
Mike Hammer, the toughest PI of all, draws a seemingly routine assignment—playing bodyguard to diva Rita Vance on the eve of her big Broadway comeback. But Rita is an old flame of Hammer’s, and when their romance is rekindled, the detective finds the actress facing death threats and himself the target of one hit man after another. When the actress disappears, the show must go on, which, with Mike Hammer, means swift, violent retaliation.

BE CAREFUL - THIS IS NEW VERSION OF AN OLD BOOK
Reviewed: 10-01-23
I buy all the Reacher books. I saw I didn't have this one and purchased and downloaded it. An hour in or so, I realized I'd already listened to this book. I looked in my library and sure enough, same book with different release date and picture. I was able to return the new title and my credit was refunded without issue.

Not the best Gray Man, but OK.
Reviewed: 04-24-23
All of the Gray Man books require suspension of one's disbelief, but this is the most I've had to say "Oh, he just happened to have a xxxxxx in his pack" or How the heck did they travel so far so fast.
It's fiction, and it's the Gray Man. I guess that's really all I needed to say!

It’s 1996, and Reacher is still in the army. In the morning they give him a medal, and in the afternoon they send him back to school. That night he’s off the grid. Out of sight, out of mind. Two other men are in the classroom—an FBI agent and a CIA analyst. Each is a first-rate operator, each is fresh off a big win, and each is wondering what the hell they are doing there. Then they find out: A Jihadist sleeper cell in Hamburg, Germany, has received an unexpected visitor—a Saudi courier, seeking safe haven while waiting to rendezvous with persons unknown.

Nice to see the background when he was an MP!
Reviewed: 10-13-22
Have listened to nearly all the books, this one was good but not my favorite. i liked the view from when he was still active as and MP. I personally had a little trouble following some of the characters and why they existed, thus the 4. Maybe if i knew more about the NSA, CIA, etc., it would have connected better.
Either way, if you are a Reacher fan, it's worth the credit and spending the hours listening!

Great story of a Hall of Fame career. I learned a lot from behind the scenes and how Steve dealt with anxiety and "competing" with Joe. The only bad thing was the narrator was either too young or never watched a football game. He mispronounced several names, including Bobby Herbert, Mike Rozier, Ivan Lendl and several others I can't remember now that I have finished the book! Overall a very good listen!
