I adore a long book that’s not bogged down in details of no interest and this is a five star example! The main characters act like themselves while you still get a new unique P&P variation! Narration is excellent as always when listening to a work from Stevie Zimmerman!!

This is a long book and never does it get boring as it just moves along at the perfect rate. The angst in the book is very realistic and the story has a natural flow that gives us insight to how the characters would have reacted in this situation. Very relatable characters.

I read this series on Kindle years ago and I have felt like a friend or neighbor of the Whitfield family. To my great pleasure, this series is on audio so I am revisiting the series with great pleasure. Characters are all well developed and Irina is able to share their feelings and mindsets in a way you find you are really empathizing with them as if you were being told of a real family. Do yourself a favor and download this book and get the series started so you can share your summer with the Whitfield clan!

I have been loving this author’s writing since getting hooked on The Hands of Time series. If you have not read that series, all stop and start now! This book just shows again the wide range of talent she has for a variety of fiction genres. You’re gonna love going on a journey with the characters trying to determine events of centuries before. The narration is also very pleasant to listen to. Highly recommend!

Story
Fitzwilliam Darcy takes his responsibilities seriously. He excels in every endeavor he pursues and upholds the highest standards, and he has little patience for those who flaunt their flaws like the Bennets do. Elizabeth Bennet longs for the toe-curling romance she reads about in novels. She dreams of an honorable man - loyal and generous to the less fortunate...everything Mr. Darcy is not.
