Story
Zanders: Chicago hockey isn't complete without me—everyone's favorite player to hate. I know my role, and I play it well. In fact, I thoroughly enjoy spending the majority of my game time in the penalty box before leaving the arena with a new girl on my arm each night. What I don't like is the new flight attendant on our team's private plane. She works for me, not the other way around. But I'll be sure to remind her of that, and I can guarantee, by the end of the season, she'll be begging to quit her job.

Male narrator is hard to listen to
Reviewed: 06-09-23
The male narrator sounds like an older gentleman maybe in his 50s, it was very difficult and awkward to listen to at times. I understand they are POC but this man was obviously not in his 20s and overall had a very poor performance. The inflection in certain times was weird and creepy

Troubling characteristics

I didn’t love the characters and hated how a relationship I loved turned so ugly. I guess that’s the point of the book but just wasn’t something I was expecting so not for anyone looking for a cute romance story

Good read

I loved this book overall. Slower start but very cute and loved the back and forth between past and present. It was easy to follow and once you got into it it was very captivating. Overall feel good although some sadness and grief mixed in.

Story
Nora Stephens' life is books—she’s read them all—and she is not that type of heroine. Not the plucky one, not the laidback dream girl, and especially not the sweetheart. In fact, the only people Nora is a heroine for are her clients, for whom she lands enormous deals as a cutthroat literary agent, and her beloved little sister Libby.

Painfully boring
Reviewed: 04-26-23
Spent entirely too long describing the worlds most boring sister relationship and mother laughter relationship. Unoriginal back and forth love story, kinda frustrating wanting to just speed up the narrator to get to the point at times.

Story
Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way. But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, and tattoos, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to. But he’s also rude — to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does — until she finds herself alone with him in his room.
