Story
It has a dark past - one in which a number of humans were killed. A past that caused it to christen itself "Murderbot." But it has only vague memories of the massacre that spawned that title, and it wants to know more. Teaming up with a Research Transport vessel named ART (you don't want to know what the "A" stands for), Murderbot heads to the mining facility where it went rogue.

I enjoyed the first Murderbot book and this is more of the same +
More world building +
ART seemed a little too competent and convenient, kept waiting for a reveal -
Kevin R Free does a good job +

Story
Tamsyn Muir’s Gideon the Ninth unveils a solar system of swordplay, cut-throat politics, and lesbian necromancers. Her characters leap out of the audio, as skillfully animated as arcane revenants. The result is a heart-pounding epic science fantasy. Brought up by unfriendly, ossifying nuns, ancient retainers, and countless skeletons, Gideon is ready to abandon a life of servitude and an afterlife as a reanimated corpse.

Sci-fi, sword and sorcery, mystery, and intrigue

I love the story even if if felt like the author cheated a bit with the mystery. The reader used the same "gruff" voice for too many characters which was a little confusing and a lot distracting.

Story
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

I love Murderbot! The characterization is top notch. You'd think it would be hard to get into the head of a non human sentient intelligence but no, it just feels real. I appreciate the minimalist world building, details are sprinkled though out and a lot is left to interpretation.

Story
Chuck Dutton built Music City Salvage with patience and expertise, stripping historic properties and reselling their bones. Inventory is running low, so he's thrilled when Augusta Withrow appears in his office offering salvage rights to her entire property. This could be a gold mine, so he assigns his daughter, Dahlia, to personally oversee the project. The crew finds a handful of surprises right away. Firstly, the place is in unexpectedly good shape. And then there's the cemetery, about 30 fallen and overgrown graves dating to the early 1900s.

A new Southern Gothic

Well written and performed. Lots of excellent build up and mood, but swings into more stereotypical action at the climax. Would make a good haunted house movie.

Story
All alone in Singapore, proper Miss Primrose Tunstell must steal helium to save her airship, the Spotted Custard, in a scheme involving a lovesick werecat and a fake fish tail. When she uncovers rumors of a new kind of vampire, Prim and the Custard crew embark on a mission to Peru. There, they encounter airship pirates and strange atmospheric phenomena, and are mistaken for representatives of the Spanish Inquisition. Forced into extreme subterfuge (and some rather ridiculous outfits) Prim must also answer three of life's most challenging questions.

Entertaining yet shallow

The comedians providing the reading were doing the best work some weak material. Some of the reviews were funny but a lot more seemed to stretch on too long. And the wrap around material has no bite at all.
