Fun story fantastically read
Reviewed: 11-10-24
The book is good, but Benson’s reading is better. Each character has a voice and personality. A dictionary read with that much charisma would be fun. Thankfully, the story is far more fun than a dictionary anyway. There’s a small lull in the action at one point, but the story otherwise hits on all points.

Fascinating, fun tales from an expert

Few people in the field have the experience of Steve Gonsalves. He details his side of what we see on TV as well as his backstory, while sprinkling in some scientific knowledge, in this new book. It’s a good and interesting read, and Gonsalves’ almost melodic speaking voice makes the audio version the perfect road trip entertainment.

Adam Berry should read all audiobooks. He wrote an interesting and entertaining book that focuses on both his story as a paranormal investigator as well as what he’s learned about death and grief. It’s a unique perspective, and he shares it with the style of a trained thespian, voices and all.

Story
If there’s one trait that makes someone well-suited to comedy, it’s being able to take a punch - metaphorically and, occasionally, physically. Told with a healthy dose of self-deprecation, A Very Punchable Face reveals the brilliant mind behind some of the dumbest sketches on television, and lays bare the heart and humor of a hardworking guy - with a face you can’t help but want to punch.

Good autobiography of an actor’s life

Entertaining and captivating story of an actor’s life journey. Rae and Strauss worked their selected stories into a solid narrative of history, actor’s journey and family. Rae hit every note of her performance beautifully, but I did listen at 1.2 speed to shorten the pauses. Worth a listen.

Read first, then listened on Audible and loved both!
Relatable and funny, Unqualified is a must-read for anyone older than 14, other than maybe Faris’s mom. It’s an honest look at the world of relationships with insights into the struggles and joys we all faced growing up and continue to deal with as adults.
Well-written, intelligent and fun. Completely worth your time!
