Enjoyed this very much. Like listening to an old time radio show with the sounds and voices creating the mood. Did some googling after I finished and makes it all the more interesting because it’s based on true events.

Loved this book! The mix of Elizabethan England and present day is very compelling. How far women have come (or not) in the past 400 years spawns lots of thoughts. Highly recommend this book!

Count the Ways was a fabulous read—but I don’t think you need to read it before this one. Wonderful story and the weaving in of real current events during the story was a plus. Love her books!

One of Baldacci's best. Timely and sometimes hard to listen to but a good story for us all to hear.

Great and interesting story—couldn’t stop listening. Love Lisa Scottoline’s books. And of course Mr Ballerini’s performance always a treat!

Bohjalian’s stories are often a little dark and this one is no exception. I thought the narrator who voiced Chrissy was great but the Betsy/Marissa just so so. I enjoyed the book—have read all of this author’s books.

As an adoptee born in 1952 this book hit me deeply in many ways. Although I always knew I was adopted, I know others for whom it was kept a secret. Heather Marshall does a fabulous job weaving her characters' stories. A wonderful story especially at this time when women 's rights are being challenged.

Couldn’t stop listening once I started. This was my era—I was a teenager in the 60’s so the story really resonated with me. Such a different time for women.

I thought this was a fabulous book—I was sobbing at the end as it touched me so deeply. It’s about the messiness of families and of life in general and also about love, connection and forgiveness. I loved it.
