I’m always disappointed when I figure out whodunnit before I’m halfway through with a book. Mr. Johnson keeps me guessing until the very end and then bam, it’s who you least expected. Love these books.

I was born in 1965 and don’t remember much about Vietnam. I don’t remember learning a lot about it in school either. I got more from this book than I fathomed and the female pov added to that I think. Listen to this book! You won’t regret it! Loved it.

A wonderful narrator for this beautiful story. Perfectly written story. Brought life on the coast to life for this inlander in ways I didn’t think possible. I wish I could meet these characters, especially Iola.

I’m not sure how, but every book in this series gets better and better. Incredible and entertaining. Every sentence continues to build this world into something I pray we never have to navigate but if we do I hope there are people like Conner, Barb, and their team to see us through.

I hope you are busy writing The Farm Book 5 right now instead of leaving us all hanging! Great series! Well rounded and entertaining characters that make you either love them or completely detest them. I usually wait until a series is complete before starting book one but this one dragged me in so here I am impatiently waiting for the next one!

The beginning of another awesome series by LL Akers. The collaboration with Danny Brown is a perfect balance and Kevin Pierce makes it come alive. Anyone that loves animals will fall in love with this book. Anxiously awaiting the second installment in this series!

Nice warm fuzzy story. Even the occasional tragedies were a little to soft and sweet. I only continued through to the end because I spent a career working in the area this book encompasses and I kept expecting STL’s true colors to appear and make it more believable. I can’t envision a scenario like this going as smoothly in this city. The only true villains are rich white guys LOL.

As a native of the area the pronunciation of the town names were cringe worthy. I almost had to stop. With the availability of resources these days, she could have easily studied. If nothing else, make a few phone calls. More names mispronounced than were correct. Do yourself a favor and read this one instead of listening to audio.

Not what I was expecting but highly entertaining. First book I’ve read in a while that made me laugh out loud. Highly recommended for someone looking to get out of their normal reading rut.

Bobby Akart always delivers a gripping story interspersed with scientific and historical facts. You are learning without realizing you are getting a lesson. These characters are so real, I feel like I might have met them. I have to admit that I put off listening to this story because as a native of the area I am used to hearing so many speakers, newscasters, and narrators, butcher the pronunciations. Thank you Stacy Glemboski for getting it right!
