I did not enjoy this book. I read the first one in the series and it was OK. I don’t feel like the narration is appropriate for this book. Or this series. The series seems to be a part of another series that’s not on audible I kept checking to make sure this was number two because it seemed like there was a whole other part that wasn’t in book one or two that I missed out on this book was not at all what I thought this whole murder mystery thing just didn’t fit with the dog thing it was like it was to plots going into one book. It was chaotic, and would not recommend this one.

I pass this series on audible for years. I would never give it a chance then when I started it because it was on the plus catalog the first book I thought it’s free. I’ll try it. I couldn’t get used to the narrators accident at first, but then I got into it. These books are really good funny interesting suspense and of course romance. Maybe that couple will finally get back together or maybe not maybe that’s what keeps the books interesting.

Dr. Kate is once again on the case (not to mention thin ice) after discovering a young engaged couple frozen to death in the lake. To make matters worse, her temporary receptionist appears to have overdosed from a recreational sedative used at the animal hospital. Kate barely has time to dread Valentine's Day (and the fact that she’s alone on this holiday, once again) as the police investigation shows that all three fatalities are in fact homicides.

This is a great series. This author does a lot of research and is very intelligent. I never find things in her books that are in accurate or inconsistent with other books in the series. She also incorporates different species of animals. Even though I really only like dog, she does put some other animals in the books just to make them informative and interesting. Some romance, but not a whole lot just enough to keep it going. The on-again, off-again love life of the main character keeps the books interesting and gives us more characters into suspect in the murder’s. I never find out who the killer is before the book and even though I try, and I always think I have it figured out which I love. Keep up the good work I hope Kate keeps the clinic.

This book was entertaining. The characters are funny and the plot was different. I think this is one of those fun books that you don’t want to have anything too serious but you wanna be entertained. Not sure if I will finish the series or not.

Story
The Pet Sitter's Tale is Laura Vorreyer's funny, entertaining, and always heart-warming collection of short stories from her 15 years wrangling the furry children of Southern California's most colorful pet parents. The Pet Sitter's Tale paints a vivid picture of what it's like to witness, and be a willing participant of, the pampered life of a celebrity's dog. Laura is always compassionate and understanding of the eccentricities of pet parents as she tells her tales of overly-protective, dog-obsessed clients.

This book was very different. It was not super entertaining or exciting I guess the characters were good and the riding was OK, but so much was going on so much. There was a little bit of everything and in some ways it was way too much. The ending was not very good in this book left me with that. I’m not so sure that I understood this book feeling.
