Story
For a man who has no intention of wedding anytime soon, if ever, Thor MacLeod finds himself submitting to an unwanted marriage in one moment and obliged to hunt down his new wife in the next—all in the name of protecting his family. The task seems simple enough: Find the lass accused of treason who stabbed him and then fled after their vows, return her to his commander, and then have their union dissolved. But nothing is ever simple when it comes to beguiling lasses like the fiery-haired woman he wed.

This story was romantic and exciting all at the same time, which made this audiobook to enjoyable to stop listening.
The way the female lead portrayed her fighting ability and her protective nature just like her husband’s, was unexpected especially during the 14th century; and, Thor’s mom with warrior-like abilities as well just put another layer of icing on an already great read.
I love how the author brings in the clans and their beliefs. As a Scottish history nerd, the highlands are my favorite part along with all of the wee folk, fairies, etc.

Story
Lady Madeline Matthews would rather shame herself than sacrifice her freedom. To avoid marrying an aging, lecherous lord, she seeks out the company of Logan Scott, for a torrid affair with the notorious womanizer would surely condemn her in the eyes of good society. In truth, Logan is an intensely private man tormented by past betrayals.

Well, she did it again! I will spend credit after credit just to hear all of her repertoire on Audible.
Lisa is a great artist who is able to paint her stories so vividly clear, with just a few strokes of abstraction that adds subplots and twists within the overall plot.
Can’t stop listening once I start one of her books.

I truly enjoyed this series. I could not stop listening. The books are extremely romantic. Someone commented how the series was not a real-life scenario, which is fine to have that perspective; however, when I read fictitious books, I do not care to experience real-life situations but prefer an escape from current goings on.

This book contains a wealth of information regarding the Cherokee Nation's beginnings. It's enlightening to have an understanding of where these people lived before America. It explains a bit about the Cherokee native language being closest to the Greek language. it also sheds much needed light on their physical characteristics.
