Story
There’s nothing Avery Shaw loves more than a challenge....at least when it comes to tracking down a story. The challenge she’s facing this time is the one thing she might not be able to overcome, though. Vacation. That’s right, not only is Southeastern Michigan’s busiest reporter off work for a week....but she’s also on the receiving end of a visit from her boyfriend’s mother. Eliot Kane is tough as nails but he’s obviously nervous about the two most important women in his life crossing paths.

Character Flawed

This particular character was so annoying that I couldn't stand listening. it wasn't the narrators fault..the character is just an awful person.

Story
Halloween LaVeau is descended from a long line of witches. Yes, her name is Halloween. The cosmic universe is definitely playing some kind of sick joke on her. She's the ultimate witch cliche, complete with a black cat and spooky house. Thank heavens she's missing the warts and flying broom. When Halloween inherits her great aunt's manor, she decides to put the house to good use as a bed and breakfast. Her first guest is the sinfully good-looking Nicolas Marcos, but he's not here for the continental breakfast.

If perfict diction bothers you don't get this one.
Reviewed: 03-25-20
The story may be good but the diction of the reader is over the top and painful to listen to. That is about all I can say so far about the book. So if excessive diction at the end of every sentence isn't for you by the ebook version.

Quality Poor
Reviewed: 10-19-18
The quality of the narration is poor to say the least. While listening on my Amazon Alexa the narrator was either stammering or the recording was not edited correctly. The stories are good if you can get past the annoyance of the poor recording and fill in the blanks. Over all I think they should scrap this and start from scratch. Maybe with a different narrator. I wouldn't waste my money or credits on this book...you would be better off reading it yourself.

Story
Christmas is supposed to be a happy time, but Aisling Grimlock is feeling anything but festive. For her, the world seems to be shrinking, and good cheer is hard to find. Aisling’s worry about meeting her live-in boyfriend Griffin Taylor's mother takes a backseat when a new enemy appears, this one haunting Aisling in mirrors and turning up at the exact wrong time. The creature seems fascinated with Aisling - following her from one mirror to the next and threatening her very survival.

Good Story - Annoying Characters
Reviewed: 12-01-17
What did you like best about Grim Holiday? What did you like least?
The Story line is interesting but the Main Character is annoying. What a spoiled rotten brat. And her best friend has set gays back 50 years. Flamboyant and overbearing little whiner. Tone down the crap from these two and you could have a better series.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Griffin because he doesn't take anyones crap though he does enable Aisling to be a royal pain in the lower lower back. I can only take these books in small bursts. The only reason I bought them is I like the story line.
Was Grim Holiday worth the listening time?
Yes once you get past the two annoying characters. BTW Jerry is my least favorite character.
