I was unsure in the beginning but as the book went forward I realized my doubts were correct. Just cheap smutty fiction. Everyone is sleeping with everyone. Don't waste your time, even for a free book this is terrible.

I love BA Paris books. I've read everything she's done. This book just isn't her best work. I struggled to get interested in the story and I felt the ending was lackluster. The narrators voice had an annoying quality to it and that also made it difficult to listen.

I purchased this book after I received an email from Audible suggesting books to listen to. I wasn't sure about it because it seemed a little too romance-y for me from reading the synopsis. I am so glad I gave this book a chance. I could not stop listening to it and was eager to hear more. The story line kept me guessing even though at times I thought I had it all figured out. I will be checking out more of the author's works.

ruined the entire series for me

Where do I start with this review? I was so excited to listen to this book. I loved the first book and even though I thought the second book wasn't as good as the first, I had high hopes for The Last Star.
The constant switching between characters was confusing for me. The voices were hard to distinguish so if you didn't catch who that chapter was supposed to be about then you will end up very lost. I constantly felt like I had missed something important in the story line and felt that much of the story was "over my head". I hoped that this book would clear up a lot of my questions about the Others. I kept waiting for my questions to be answered and was sorely disappointed when they weren't.
Spoilers warning!
I was so disappointed in the ending of this book. How could the author kill off the main character? The end of Cassie's story was such a let down. There also was little interaction between Cassie and Evan. This book successfully ruined the entire series for me. I feel like I would have been better off never reading it. I am so disappointed in the author for leaving all of these loose ends and writing such a disappointing last book in this series.

Kept me guessing until the end

My first impression of this performance was that I was not going to be able to listen all the way through if the English narrator read the whole book (because of difficulty understanding her). I'm glad I stuck it out because there are several narrators. It was overall a great book that truly surprised me at the end.

I struggled to get into this book. After a few chapters, I really became hooked on the story. I didn't realize the book was almost over and when it ended I just could not believe that was how this book ended. I suppose I thought this book was going in a different direction. Disappointed that I wasted my time listening to it all the way through.

First of all, I'd like to say this was a fantastic story and great listen. The only complaint I have is the horrible language in the book. I cannot understand how a young adult book could have so much cursing. The language used in this book was very strong and I was bothered by the use of God's name in vain. Other than that I would say that it was a good book but I do not think the language adds anything to the story.

I wish I'd read the other review. I now remember listening to another book this narrator narrated and it was also very I unenjoyable. This narrator mispronounced so many words it made me cringe. I don't know what the publisher was thinking.
