Girl meets dragon. Girl works to befriend dragon. A large, red, dangerous dragon. Raven Alby will have to train her new ride and save the dragon’s life or die trying. Mix in starting at Fowler Academy as a first-year, becoming a stronger mage, and oh...people disappearing. It's all adding up to typical teenager stuff for a young mage. The first lesson Raven will learn? Don’t ever let anything come between a girl and her dragon.

I have read and own many of your books enjoying them greatly. This book seemed like sex scenes were used for filler and more filler rather than working on plot. The story line could have been good with a little work.

I Could Not Finish
Reviewed: 04-20-19
I was so disappointed with this book. The first chapter was so filthy that I couldn't continue. It was almost as though the language and subject matter was placed there simply to shock, and not because the storyline called for it. Mr. Brooks, you have a great ability to write. Get yourself out of the gutter and write something worthy of your art.

Is bad language necessary in children's books?
Reviewed: 03-16-18
The storyline was good, but when I think of good books for kids, I was put off by the language. Those kinds of words have no place in children's books. The performance was great. The voice was very easy to listen to. The story made me think of the Harry Potter series before I read other reviews saying the same thing.

A fight to the death is the least of what she can expect if other supernaturals find out what she is, so Cass has become an expert at lying low.
