Oh, I loved this book. I love Mike. I loved Aurora. I loved Joshua Jackson’s voice so much I’m now crushing on him. So great for a romance novel to have an original plot and have two mature characters who have complex conversations. This is the type of matchup that makes me love audio books.

REALLY enjoyed Nora and her story told in first person. The narrator was the perfect sounding age and tone for the character, making a cute novel even better.

Full disclosure: I openly look for Jacob Morgan-read books because he can read a male perspective like no other. This story was tailor made for him. I came for the romance and stayed for the writing. Get this book!

I don’t know if it was the narrators or the way the author wrote her, but Cassie didn’t deserve Thatch and I finally gave up on the book. The male narrator’s female voice was pretty whiney . The female’s was better, but Cassie could’ve been wild and fun without being so snarky and just talking nasty to talk nasty. I’m no prude but she just wore on me after awhile and I couldn’t finish. Thatch, though…yum. I think I stopped listening just because I was invested in thatch and was sad he was going to end up with her! lol

I’ve loved this series and have eagerly moved to the next immediately after completing the last (Teddy Hamilton for the win, ammirite?!?) but I almost couldn’t finish this one. Hard to say there was no chemistry when the same narrators read the other books but these characters had no chemistry. Jackie was not worth the chase and her reasoning for being mad made zero sense. In any case, the other three in the series were great - stick with them.

The story was good but I almost DNF because of the female narrator’s male voice. She made the hero sound like a dumb buffoon, which made it hard to like him. Of course Teddy saved the day with his fantastic narration. I rarely leave reviews but had to warn readers to be prepared to wince every time it’s the female chapter.

It’s a strange way to title a book but I have to say that the summary kind of creeped me out with the age difference. It wasn’t like that at all - the author didn’t pretend the protagonist was older than she was, nor did she make the hero predatory in any way. I’m glad I listened!

I don’t normally leave reviews but I enjoyed this book so much, I just had to. Warm, loving, and a fresh WWII/present day plot. Narrators made it all the more passionate and playful. Worth the time for sure!

Whoa boy, what a great story. A great read for women in the middle of their lives. Bravo to the author and I can’t wait to watch the movie.

A cute and fun love story. Got somewhat long during the “lose them” phase, but still super cute characters all around. And I’ll listen to anything the narrator reads! Love her voices (the cat!)
