Nicholas Sparks never disappoints! I especially enjoyed this book because of the unexpected twist in this story. As is the case with most of his books, I would love to see this made into a movie. Outstanding as always!

This is such a fun series. The narrator did such a great job bringing the book to life. Her talent made this a great book to listen to. I'm a little disappointed that the other books don't have the same narrator. Tayler Mettra will be a hard act to follow.

Surprisingly Great!
Reviewed: 07-13-21
This is not my genre of choice so I was less than excited about reading this book but figured I should probably broaden my literary horizons. I was surprised to find myself anxious to get to the next chapter. I really loved the characters and the storyline. There are two sisters who have a very close relationship, and of course a few secrets. The supporting characters had their own unique qualities and secrets, and were equally interesting. It was quite a rude awakening when I heard the words "The End." If you like the dystopian genre, then you'll definitely love this book. You'll also want to keep a close eye on Ryder Lyne.

Story
The Man has custody Monday through Friday, The Woman has custody on the weekends. But that's not enough for Gatz, who will do anything to bring them back together - even if it kills him. And it almost did. Of course he knows chocolate is bad for him, especially two whole pounds of it, but it’s the risk he's willing to take to get them back together.

This was such a fun book! Good storyline but the humor is really what made it stand out from other books in this genre. I honestly didn't want it to end. I didn't care for the narrator but I got over it. I will definitely listen to this book again, which is not something I normally do. Loved it!

This book had a wonderful story line, in-depth characters and good narration. I could have done without the sex scenes; the story was certainly good enough to stand on it's own without them. Based on the cover, not at all what I expected, I was pleasantly surprised.

The excessive profanity in this book made what could have been a good book not so great. Although the story line was good, the narration was terrible. If you don't mind the language, this would be a great book to read but definitely not to listen to.

Great YA Book
Reviewed: 01-02-20
Mary Downing Hahn is one of my favorite children's authors. She's one of only a few who write this genre for elementary school age kids and she does an outstanding job. I bought this book for my grand-daughter for Christmas and listened to it so I would be able to discuss it with her. It was much more graphic than her previous books and bordered on "thriller", not just scary. As expected, it was a great book but I would only recommend this book for 7th grade and up.

Not One of Susan Mallery's Best
Reviewed: 09-26-19
Susan Mallery is usually an author that I can depend on for a great read. While the storyline was good and I enjoyed this book, I was sorely disappointed with some of the graphic language and explicit sexual content. There are numerous authors to choose from if you're looking for that but so few if you're not. Great authors can write great stories without going down that road. I'll give her another chance but if this is what I can expect in the future, then I'm sorry to say I'll have to pass.
