Story
As a kid, Charlotte Illes’ uncanny sleuthing abilities made her a minor celebrity. But in high school, she hung up her detective’s hat and stashed away the signature blue landline in her “office”—aka garage—convinced that finding her adult purpose would be as easy as tracking down missing pudding cups or locating stolen diamonds.

Cute story, but……

The story was huge. The friendship, three childhood friend was touching. However, the author focused so much on political correctness with sexual identity and gender pronoun. It was distracting. It seem like every person that was either bisexual, transsexual non-binary what happened and it was just distracting.

Awful
Reviewed: 12-27-23
I did finish this audiobook, but I didn’t enjoy it. The narration was not appealing. The storyline was very convoluted and unbelievable and there were way too many different characters and storylines going on to keep track, particularly with the somewhat monotonous performance. This is one of the worst audiobooks I have ever listened to.

In the deep woods of East Texas, Henry supports his family by selling bootleg liquor. couldn’t finish-and I’m not a quitter!

Was very disappointed in this book. Story and characters unrealistic & unbelievable. I very rarely quit on an audiobook, but just couldn’t make it through this one because it was so far-fetched .
