Story
Artificial intelligence is smarter than humans. It can process information at lightning speed and remain focused on specific tasks without distraction. AI can see into the future, predicting outcomes and even use sensors to see around physical and virtual corners. So why does Intelligence frequently get it so wrong? The answer is us. Humans design the algorithms that define the way that AI works and the processed information reflects an imperfect world.

Rather interesting and intriguing, but very, very long winded
Reviewed: 11-09-24
Although the topic is appealing and I’m very interested in AI and exploring new technologies in general, I just couldn’t take it any longer after almost three hours of listening.
Even more so when seeing that I had eight hours to go still
Some examples are insightful, but way too many and quite a few are very lengthy.
Too bad, as the topic is interesting, the writer is knowledgeable, and it would be good for a lot of people to know the contents (and our future)
But please, make it more concise

I like the approach, examples and "let's do it" attitude.
After listening to half of it, the repetition kicks in, and the 'that's how I'm building million dollar businesses' get very annoying. It's a pity this happened

Disappointed

I felt it to be longwinded, the performance (story teller) sounds almost like text-to-speach and distracted me a lot.
I tried to like it, both the story and the storytelling. But I couldn’t continue.

His first book was good. This one isn't.
While the start feels like continuing the vibe and paste, it doesn't. The ranting gets annoying as it misses strong content.
I like the accent, and when actually telling something that hits the nail on the head, the Scottish accent and twist are the icing on the cake. Unfortunately, there's almost no 'cake’,
I lost my interest relatively fast, but I have been pushing myself to continue reading. Is was aiming to start liking it.
I just didn't.
The book isn't worth the read.
At the core, it might offer some insights.
However, the lack of a storyline, the unnecessary ranting and the fairly negative tone of voice drain energy.

Although I like the theory presented and thorough way of investigating this subject, it really is too long-winded.
One chapter takes hours, and it’s not easy to grasp the essential part of the story.
It’s just too much

Not bad, but also not very impressed
Reviewed: 12-17-18
While the overall story sounds okay, the examples are decent, there’s nothing wrong with the performance (or voice) it’s just okay.
I just ‘read’ another Audible book about negotiation skills which is way more impressive. The difference is the depth, where the theory can be used and so on. I liked that.
Back to the book I’m reviewing:
This book mostly focuses on sales/business and only touches the surface, from my point of view.

I like the storyline: it tells pieces off real person’s lives, coming together during the rest of the story. Science, math, politics, storm, destructions, surviving.
It’s a real life story, a real live struggle and it’s great to read how people are willing to give everything they have for the best of all.
