Story
The mission seems simple enough: Extract a pharmaceutical magnate from Russian soil. But nothing is as it appears to be. A desperate call thrusts Captain Tucker Wayne and his stalwart military dog, Kane, into a frantic race to rescue the brilliant-but-deluded Abram Bukolov from a cadre of skilled assassins. Hunted and betrayed at every turn, Tucker and Kane must discover the truth behind a horror out of the ancient past that can be weaponized to terrorize the modern world. As time rapidly runs out, the deep and intimate bond between dog and soldier will be tested to the extreme.

Rollins does it again
Reviewed: 06-29-23
I’m a long time fan of James Rollins books. The Tucked Wayne series starts here and doesn’t disappoint. If you’re a fan of Rollins’ main Sigma Force series, you’ll enjoy this.
I liked how some Sigma Force characters overlapped into this story, creating a connection with previous loved characters from Rollins’ main series.
Also, being a dog/shepherd owner myself, i felt a strong connection and appreciation for the Duo in this book.
An action packed fun read!

Story
When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss...

Can't Go Wrong With Potter
Reviewed: 10-31-19
I have been a long time Harry Potter fan since the first book came out in the 90's. However, I was never a big reader growing up and let the movies shape the "potter world" in my head. Big Mistake. The books are so much better, not to knock the films cause they're great too. Each book has drawn me in further and further.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Absolutely loved this story! I can't wait for the next one. The narrator was splendid and voiced the characters individually with success.

Entertaining Suspense: Bad Narrator
Reviewed: 08-17-16
I am a huge James Rollins fan. I love all his works. But I just couldn't get over the Narrator in this audio book. His voice was fine for the main character and such, but his imitation of the female characters were embarrassing and annoying. Sorry to say, it ruined my usual Rollins experience.
