Story
He was the talented bad boy everyone wanted. I was the irrelevant geek everyone hated. He was the sun...drawing all of us in. I was a black hole...taking up space. He was destined to be a star. I was destined to remain an insignificant no one. Until he made me believe I was special...and then he destroyed me. I never thought I'd see Phoenix Walker again after he broke my heart, but fate had other plans. One tour. Eight weeks. Forty shows. Countless opportunities to make him pay. The world thought he was a god...but I know the truth.

I honestly like this book more then I thought I would! It sounded interesting and for me that’s enough usually as I listen to a lot of my books on audible while I’m at work but it’s been a while since I’ve found a book that really absorbs my attention like this one did I honestly would have probably finished it sooner than I did if I didn’t have to be careful about some of the sex scenes while I was listening to this book at work.. I love listening to books but most become slightly like background noise where I still know going on and it has my attention but I can switch to music or something else for a little while and not be like dying to know what happens next.. this is one of the the few that really caught my attention that way where it like I had to force myself to stop it to return to reality in order to get what I needed to done.. not many do that to me but this was definitely one of them! I really enjoyed listening/reading this book!

Story
I'm not so different from most people. Like everyone else, I have life goals. Goal #1: Become a real girl instead of this invisible ghost thing I currently am. Goal #2: Convince the four men I've been haunting for the past five years to pick me to be their new toy after goal one is complete. Goal #3: Figure out who/what I am and why I can't remember anything past the five years I've been haunting this quad. Goal #4: Eat popcorn. See? Perfectly normal. Sort of. Gotta start small, after all. It's not like anyone else is perfect either.

Really like this book

Really enjoyed this book, I really like the main character “Kayla”! She is very entertaining and funny. I would recommend this book. But I think that all the books could have been combined into one book and maybe a little more of a back story... because I’ve already listened to the second book and some of the conclusions that they come up with feel a little like they were just thrown in out of the blue without any real thought... I mean it does make sense the more u listen but I feel like there could be more of a back story to make things tie together better and make more sense. Other then that I really enjoyed the story has a whole

Great book!

I very highly recommend reading the prequel to this book, The Assassins blade before this book as it helps u understand the main character a little bit better!
I’ve read some of the other reviews on the book and can maybe see what they are seeing but I also think that majority probably haven’t read the prequel... and therefore can’t really understand the main character Celaena that well... the prequel talks about why she is such a famous Assassin at such a young age and bit why she has the attitude that she does. As it seemed to me that her former master shaped her to be that way... and she is also a teen and still has many of the emotions of a teenager... her former master trained her to be the best Assassin possible while also spoiling her and giving her whatever she wanted from fine clothes and jewelry to taking to opera and plays. She was being groomed to be the next master of the assassins guild she was apart of before she triggers a chain of events that lead to her paying off her debt to the guild and leaving with Sam, another Assassin from the guild and the boy she loves and eventually ends up losing because of the betrayal of someone from the Assassins guild. With her ending up being sent to endovier by the king as punishment for all the lives she has taken as an Assassin.
This book is a YA novel in my view point and has the feel of some teen angst as some have put it to it. I find series like this interesting because a lot of the questions and issues the author brings into the story usually a couple of books down the line... and I think going in with the mind set of comparing it other novels such as game of thrones or hunger games makes it more difficult to focus solely on the story this author is painting... and yeah maybe most don’t enjoy the many plot lines/twists the author has put into this book... for me it makes it more interesting and intriguing because I want to know if they get resolved later in the series...
I know that kind of thing isn’t everyone’s cup of tea... if it’s not for u then I would suggest a different book for you but if u are like me and find all the plot twists/lines interesting enough to try finish the whole series then I would recommend it!
This certainly is not a stand alone novel and is a kind of a interesting start to a series that I just can’t wait to get the rest of...

This book is a different from what i usually read/listen to... but it caught my attention and is now one of my favorite books... I liked the whole story and want to finish getting through the rest of the series. It had moments that just make me laugh and I think the narrator of the book does a great job of making the main character come to life as she tells her story
I would recommend this book! It’s a great listen

I really liked the first book and the second book was good but this book was a little bit all over the place... it started out pretty good then u get like halfway through the book and it gets a bit confusing.... I think she could have made a forth book in this series because it was like she tried to throw too much into this book...
But I liked the narrator of this book so much... I would definitely listen to other books performed by her

The reimagined version of twilight wasn't quiet what I expected.... I liked it though. Listening to this book and as going through the events of twilight as they happened to Bo vs. how they happened to Bella I found it quite interesting and entertaining. I liked the different stories for the characters.
