this is a great story foe persons with connection to the legal or law enforcement connections. Gripping storyline with insightful reflections that ring true to seasoned professionals. A surprising ending is an amazing gift at the end of this sroty. I completely enjoyed this book. I am a retired 20 yr law enforcement and investigations veteran and now work in the court system and in a rare feat, this book never once made me roll my eyes in a " it would never happen like that" moment. How refreshing! Great listen, loved every minute!!

Story
It’s been 10 years since a group of college friends made a vow: that the first to get rich would rent a boat and invite the others on a cruise. Now, the friends find themselves marooned at a luxurious hotel on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. While their boat is being repaired, they can’t help but observe the daily routine of a fellow hotel guest - a mysterious, white-bearded stranger who sits on the veranda each night and smokes one cigarette, sometimes two.

On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. my background in law enforcement and investigations made this a great thrill ride. I appreciate the rea deb's skill at speaking about military and in estigative terms with the correct cadence and accent to sound genuine. love everything he performs, (though his women's voices are kinda funny sometimes).
