Worthy ending
Reviewed: 07-11-25
This book didn’t need to be 21 hours, 2-4 chapters just sex at a time and then the last chapter was too much with all that needed to be wrapped up.
Anyhoo, it was an emotional roller coaster. I felt like I was listening to GOT with so many good characters dying. Our crew just kept take L after L. There were mostly HEAs, but still some unanswered questions. Maybe Ryatt will get a few books. Molina, what a redemption story. Auren’s journey was amazing. I enjoyed the series overall and will definitely read more Raven Kennedy’s books.

Every end is also a beginning. I thought I was going to die, and would have if it weren't for Slade. The only way he could save me was to open a rip between worlds. The only way for me to save myself was to go through it. Sometimes, fleeing one dangerous place just brings you to another.

Reviewed: 06-26-25
I usually love Mia’s book. Love the representation, but I couldn’t wait for it to be over. It made no sense that this strong kick-ass woman would be so desperately in love with such a wuss. She was going to marry the other guy up until the last 90% of the book. Too much pining, not enough passion.

Story
When eldest son Roman Carruthers is summoned home after his father’s car accident, he finds his younger brother, Dante, in debt to dangerous criminals and his sister, Neveah, exhausted from holding the family—and the family business—together. Neveah and their father, who run the Carruthers Crematorium in the run-down central Virginia town of Jefferson Run, see death up close every day. But mortality draws even closer when it becomes clear that the crash that landed their father in a coma was no accident and Dante’s recklessness has placed them all in real danger.

Adam and SA never disappoint
Reviewed: 06-12-25
SA’s audiobooks are like a movie for your ears. I hope this one gets turned into a movie too. I suspected the reveal, but was still shocked. Dante worked my nerves, but he stopped maturing at 14. Roman loved the thrill and the ending was what I was expecting.
Action packed, VERY violent, gritty, and Adam Lazarre White did a great job as always with the narration. I thought this was going to surpass Razorblade Tears as my favorite, but this is a close second.

Story
As more secrets come to light, and my sister and I work harder than ever before to reach our potential and claim our birthright, the end is finally drawing closer. The curse chases on our heels as time rushes by, and the blood-drenched destiny of the man I love looms ever closer just like the monster who stole our throne. We must prepare for the final battle, but three things are clear now—the cards have already been dealt, blood will spill for a new future to rise, and the stars themselves can’t help us.

Filler Book Full of Sex and Wasted Pages

I finally gave up and skipped from chapter 43 to the end. I really want to request a refund but at this point I may just save myself the credits and jump to the end or just read what happened in the internet. No way it takes this many books to finally get to a finale.
I don’t know who was more annoying, Seth or Geraldine. Geraldine for most annoying voice. What a civil war southern belle hell her voice is. There was more sex than anything else. The last chapter was the best part.

Story
Fate has torn us apart, and, sometimes, I believe the stars have given up on us altogether. Without my sister, the world seems darker than ever before, and the shadows loom thicker, rising up to answer the call of the Shadow Princess, and changing the face of Solaria for good. I’m afraid we’re almost out of time. Hope is a dangerous thing. It’s the key to us fighting on. But it could be what destroys us in the end. One thing is for certain, I won’t stop until I have been reunited with my other half, and together we will fight to take our crowns. A war is coming.

That’s How You Finish A Series!
Reviewed: 03-03-25
I’m giving an extra star for the series only being 2 books. I was prepared for there to be a cliffhanger and it to not be wrapped up as promised like so many other fantasy books.
The first half of the book is noting but miscommunication and misunderstanding, the trope I hate the most, but it was great build up for the last half of the book. The ending is very satisfying and I will definitely be reading the author’s future books.
