Story
The crew of the Prometheus is intent on taking down the world's clock towers so that time can run freely. Now captives, Colton, Daphne, and the others have a stark choice: join the Prometheus' cause or fight back in any small way they can and face the consequences. But Zavier, leader of the terrorists, has a bigger plan - to bring back the lost god of time. As new threats emerge, loyalties must shift. No matter where the Prometheus goes - Prague, Austria, India - nowhere is safe, and every second ticks closer toward the 11th hour.

Cog

Every time the narrator said the word “cog holder” or even the word “cog” his accent made it sound like c*ck and it made me chuckle.

Story
The corrupt and powerful PsiCorps is determined to usurp the Hunters as chief defenders of Apex City, and Joy is now squarely in their crosshairs. Unused to playing political games, she has very few people she can truly trust - not even Josh, her first friend in Apex City, who broke up with her when it became too dangerous for a Psimon to be dating a Hunter. Then Josh comes to Joy for help. He fears that Abigail Drift, the head of PsiCorps, will soon use him in her twisted experiments designed to empower PsiCorps and render Hunters superfluous.

Too simple
Reviewed: 11-04-22
There are no surprises or plot twists. Everythjj in ng is just as it seems. The bad guy is obvious and the hood guys stay good.
I kept waiting for a twist where someone she trusted turned out to be evil. Nope. It’s very very basic.
This is also supposed to be the final book of the series but the author didn’t wrap up anything. The whole story is a straight line. No highs or lows just monotone. I had to make myself finish it (I hate not completing a series) because it was so basic I’d lost lost interest.

Loved it!

I thought this book felt very true to how an average person might react when ensnared by a magical being.
Unlike many fantasy books where the heroine ends up having latent magical powers or are a great fighter or a rebel, our main character here is just a normal woman who stumbled into a bad thing. It’s a darker story for sure and I can’t wait for the sequel!

Story
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

Didn't Grab Me
Reviewed: 07-02-15
Would you try another book from Brandon Sanderson and/or Michael Kramer?
Ive loved other works by Brandon Sanderson and I thought his wheel of time additions were fantastic! I will try more of his work in the future but i will be more careful in avoiding books narrated by Michael Kramer. His voice is so monotone that if I am not 100% fully focused on listening I just tune him out.
Would you ever listen to anything by Brandon Sanderson again?
Sure!
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Michael Kramer?
Anyone Else!
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
This book had such great reviews so I was very excited to start it!!
I made it through a little over an hour and I still was not drawn into this world, the characters, or the story.
Any additional comments?
For a book to keep my attention it has to grab me and make me feel something. If it hasnt within the first hour than I just can't make myself keep listening. So for those out there who can take dry openings in a story this is not for you!
