Publisher's summary

The final installment in the Timekeeper trilogy

The crew of the Prometheus is intent on taking down the world's clock towers so that time can run freely. Now captives, Colton, Daphne, and the others have a stark choice: join the Prometheus' cause or fight back in any small way they can and face the consequences. But Zavier, leader of the terrorists, has a bigger plan - to bring back the lost god of time.

As new threats emerge, loyalties must shift. No matter where the Prometheus goes - Prague, Austria, India - nowhere is safe, and every second ticks closer toward the 11th hour. Walking the line between villainy and heroism, each will have to choose what's most important: saving those you love at the expense of the many, or making impossible sacrifices for the sake of a better world.

You Will Cry

lots of twists and turns. lots of things that will make you cry. It is amazing and wonderful and so well done. The ending isn't predictable or maybe I just predicted a less likely ending and was proven wrong. Great either way.

Loved the Ending

This book was my least favorite of the trilogy. It just lost my interest but I wanted to know how it ended. And I have to say the last chapter and the epilogue made up for it. I’m very satisfied with how it wrapped up.

I think the weakest part of this book and the previous was how the author touched in true theme of imperialism. I don’t really think it was handled the best. It’s not atrocious, but it was considered mostly from our protagonist point of view - which obviously comes with its own bias. But I’ve seen this theme touched on and handled better with similar povs and done well. It felt - and probably was - used to serve mostly as a plot point, and not really engaged with besides that.

All in all, I enjoyed the series. The first book was my favorite and I listened to during my leisure time. The second and third books were less engaging and I listened to at the office (using earphones, obviously). There are occasional thoughts or events that you probably don’t want broadcasted at work. Nothing graphic, just a tad awkward.

Cog

Every time the narrator said the word “cog holder” or even the word “cog” his accent made it sound like c*ck and it made me chuckle.

Loved this series.

I really enjoyed this series. A binged listened it. The last book had somewhat of a depressing vibe to it. Could have some more positive moments, some more wins than losses. But really got my emotions going.

Perfect in every possible way.

The Timekeeper trilogy is a must.
From the performance of narration to plot itself, I found every box checked.
Having been my first experience of Tara Sim, I will absolutely be looking for more, as well as from the reader as well. A truly fantastic job all around.

Wow - very deep

I'm not sure how I thought this story would go, but it was infinitely more tragic, yet heartening and in depth than I expected. I had similar feelings at the end if the Hunger Games series.

I highly recommend these books for their realistic portrayal of life. Not everyone gets an HEA, but the fantasy and hope still survives.

Wonderful Story

I highly recommend that you read Timekeeper and then Chainbreaker first. The story is riveting and reads quickly. I will read and listen again.

Sad it's over..

This book was a rollercoaster. The ending, especially, still has me feeling things. Rarely does a book leave me feel strong things anymore, but this trilogy definitely did it. There were small flaws, such as romance being shoved in at inappropriate times, or characters talking too much in the heat of danger. Perhaps my biggest grievance was that I, personally, could not understand how mistreatment, abuse and threats were so easily forgiven. And perhaps forgiveness was important for the story, but I wish there had been more to it. When it comes down to the book overall, however, these things were not enough to disrupt my enjoyment. One of the best books I've read this year, and I'm very glad I picked them up in the Plus catalog.

Meh.

I really liked the first two books and I like the first 2 thirds of this one but the end seemed jumbled and rushed and not well thought out.

Example, they go to save a character except a bunch of characters just die in quick succession and then they don’t even save the girl you just hear about in later in the book. Some of the deaths seemed dumb without any significance to the storyline.
