Story
Nicole has wanted to own a haunted car her entire teenaged life, and when she finally finds one - a junker of a Chrysler Neon with its own tragic backstory - her best friend, Johnny, has some serious doubts. Would a demon even want to possess a Chrysler Neon? But when the two of them take it for a test drive, Johnny’s doubts begin to fade: The steering wheel burns hot, the car traps Johnny in the back seat, and is Nicole even driving? Or is the car driving itself? They soon find themselves forced to face the potential evil controlling the car, and possibly even themselves.

Fun!

This was such a fun short story about a possessed car. It was funny and I enjoyed every minute of it. And as a 45 minute listen, it's great when you don't feel like committing to a full length audiobook

Story
Sally has recently left an unfulfilling job to volunteer at a living history museum, where she is assigned to the Death House. Every day, she dons Victorian mourning garb and describes traditional funeral services to tourists. It sounds depressing as hell, but for Sally, it’s less depressing than her tepid marriage to her childhood sweetheart. This becomes all too clear when she accidentally travels through time and space to a liminal world where the ghosts of the living history museum haunt its grounds. There, she meets and falls hard for Victorian-era pretty boy Nathaniel.

So Good

This was the second thing I've read from Rachel Harrison and I loved it. If you're a fan of Outlander and stories about women who might be wanting more in her life (or relationship), this short story is for you. Louisa Krause is a wonderful narrator and this was such a good listen for a short story

OMG THIS WAS SUCH A FUN AND SMUTTY READ!!!! The banter was bantering and the sex was sexy and the kills were just so creative. I am definitely a lifelong fan of Brynne Weaver after this and will be reading the next two in the series!!

Story
Children have always disappeared under the right conditions - slipping through the shadows under a bed or at the back of a wardrobe, tumbling down rabbit holes and into old wells, and emerging somewhere...else. But magical lands have little need for used-up miracle children. Nancy tumbled once, but now she's back. The things she's experienced...they change a person. The children under Miss West's care understand all too well. And each of them is seeking a way back to their own fantasy world.

I was initially worried that this book was going to be a little too juvenile, but it surprisingly was not! I loved how it wasn't too fantasy and will definitely be listening to the rest of the series.
