Couldn’t put it down. So very sad, especially knowing that he died so soon after finally getting his shot together. Well done though Matty.

Story
A novel set in 5500 BCE can't possibly relate to today's issues...or can it? Dysfunctional family relationships. Sexual abuse. Kidnapping. Love triangle. Religious freedom. Autism. Cultural Change. National award-winning novel Noah's Wife by T.K. Thorne touches all of these issues with wisdom and humor. Tackling one of the oldest and most famous stories on earth, Thorne's unique twists to the Biblical story - which makes only one mention of Noah's wife - tells the tale from the perspective of a young girl with what is now known as Asperger Syndrome.

My husband and I deliver papers to post offices and businesses throughout the night. This book kept us wide awake and made the time pass right by. I was quite amused when every time he’d get back in the van, he’d say “story, story”. Melissa Carey did a great job with the character’s voices too. Angels at the Gate by TK Thorne will be our next delivery book. Love reading together.

Would you consider the audio edition of Girl in Translation to be better than the print version?
I thought the audio added a lot because of the accent. Reader did a great job.
Any additional comments?
I love books that can put you into a life experience that you would never otherwise understand and this book doesn't disappoint. If you ever wondered what it might be like to immigrate to Amer. from another country (China) where you don't speak the language and have nothing but hope to live on, this book is for you.

Story
With ribald humor, wit, and incredible insight, Alan seamlessly moves back and forth in time, integrating stories from his childhood in Scotland and his experiences today as the celebrated actor of film, television, and stage. At times suspenseful, at times deeply moving, but always incredibly brave and honest, Not My Father's Son is a powerful story of embracing the best aspects of the past and triumphantly pushing the darkness aside.

A soul searching memoir

I haven't read a lot of memoirs, but after this I will probably read more. it was such an engaging account of how your childhood experiences effect a person and how important it is to face them. Before this book, I didn't really know who Allan Cumming was, but I will surely seek him out now. A must read, so many insights.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I think everyone should read this book. It was such an honest look into the middle east culture. It explained a lot to me about why our foreign policy doesn't work.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved hearing Malala's story told from her viewpoint and how she and her family and neighbors interpreted what what happening in their world. It was so honest. She was not trying to convince the reader of anything- just told her story. The reader was excellent as she sounded a lot like Malala.
