Story
Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

Great Crichton Story
Reviewed: 08-23-24
Great combination of Crichton and Patterson, story was well told, Narrator was easy to listen to and made the character come to life. My only criticism for the book was the ending, it was short and abrupt, I wish it would have added a little more closure to their personal journeys. I would recommend this book for sure.

Story
In 1914, the war which was to have been wrapped up by Christmas had - in reality - only just begun, as all sides entrenched themselves deeper into the Great War. Christmas Eve, 1914 follows one company of British officers as they rotate forward to spend their Christmas on the front lines, a mere 80 yards from the German guns. Upper- and working-class men and boys are thrown together into one trench and struggle to survive.

I can't say anything but WOW!!!!!

This was an absolutely in incredible short story. I just finished this and can say that I will think about this story and performance for quite some time. As a Veteran, Christmas deployed is a difficult time and holding onto tbe holiday and its majesty can be trying spiritually. Listening to this from the perspective of a group of soldiers in a time we'll before mine, but with emotion and struggle that stands the time.
If you close your eyes I can see this being performed on stage, the narrator and performers were great, the sound effects provided depth and were not gratuitous.
I will listen to this again.

Story
A severed arm, found buried in the White House Rose Garden. A lethal message with terrible consequences for the Presidency. And a hidden secret in one family's past that will have repercussions for the entire nation. There are stories no one knows. Hidden stories. I find those stories for a living. To most, it looks like Beecher White has an ordinary job. A young staffer with the National Archives in Washington, DC, he's responsible for safekeeping the government's most important documents...and, sometimes, its most closely held secrets.

Walt Disney was a true visionary whose desire for escape, iron determination, and obsessive perfectionism transformed animation from a novelty to an art form, first with Mickey Mouse and then with his feature films–most notably Snow White, Fantasia, and Bambi.

Great Comprehensive Story
Reviewed: 09-15-18
Wow, I have read other biographies on Walt Disney and my family and I are huge Disney fans. This gave such a great perspective on the man both publicly and privately, it also put into context the struggles that he went through to build something that is so beloved. I liked how the author sighted his references at times to allow the reader to know where the point of view or impression came from.

Crossing the Atlantic in search of the buried cache, Jim and the ship's crew must brave the elements and a mutinous charge led by the quintessentially ruthless pirate Long John Silver. Brilliantly conceived and splendidly executed, it is a novel that has seized the imagination of generations of adults and children alike.
