Story
Everything about Lilah Stohler is dark: her clothes, her mood, and her outlook on life and death. That last part is important because Lilah’s father has just retired and left her in charge of Stohler’s Funeral Home. But Abel Stohler knows his daughter’s comfort level rests “downstairs”, so he hires one Sparkle Lee Sink to help Lilah manage the living part of the business of death. Sparkle is everything that Lilah isn’t—an empathetic marketing whiz who is a true people person.

Another banger from the famous author

So here I am , smelling like DEET knowing I have to put up 1km more electric fencing for my spawns of Satan (known commonly as Sami mountain goats ) and not knowing how to get through it . And then I get a notification that this new book dropped . And as usual it does not disappointed me at all. Loving both Elvira mistress of the dark and Gay , Ask a mortician aka Caitlyn Doughty, wonderful quirky and deep storytelling , I love this book like all the others . Maybe even a little more because I moonlight as a night nurse in an elderly home. Keep it coming Famous Author ! Love from Saepmie ( Lappland)

Story
Love is the adventure no one sees coming. Joey Moore got her heart stomped on. At her engagement party. So, she did what any normal, completely rational 28-year-old would do - she moved to a new city with her dog to start a new life. Without much of a plan, it turns out. Kendall O’Hara doesn’t enjoy chaos - at 42-years-old, she has a stable job and two cats she likes more than most people. Okay, all people, except her close-knit group of friends. She’s not boring. She’s just protecting her still-healing heart decades after a devastating loss.

The story itself is really nice and won recently a Goldie . But sadly the narrator is not fitting . It should be a more serious voice reading this book.

A very fitting and perfekt book and end to an era

I was counting the last days to this release . And as soon as the download was in my library I started listening . Straight through . I had to sit down sometimes to just concentrate on the story . Both near tears and crying laughing at the best parts . And now that I am writing the first review ( a big accomplishment of mine ) I am saddened and at the same time filled with love and great full that this book is a very fitting end of the area of the Jericho series . From reading book 1 for the first time online in the bard forum too the first audible release , till now in printed version and in Audioformate. The series has always been my comfort read under this decade and always will be . I can’t recommend enough to read them all .
My only beef is that there aren’t enough ducks or reindeer in the series 😁

Instead of becoming a famous fashion designer as she'd dreamed, Brett Bishop ends up working for the 24-year-old daughter of an A-list designer instead. Even though her career plans didn't turn out as she expected, she still believes her expectations for her love life will be met. Brett is ready to meet Ms. Right Forever if she can get a break in the schedule her young boss dictates. Evangeline Scott, known as Scotty, also dreamed of being a famous fashion designer. Years of fighting tooth and nail for a toehold in the fashion industry have taken their toll.
