Think mashup ofold school Dragnet and more modern cops shows. Even though it is a book that is the best example I can think of. It gives a real feel of the era.

I normally do not enjoy factual/serious oriented podcasts with two hosts, especially those that are friends. One person is usually the clown and neither are educated in the subject, more like hobbyists. These two are NOT that. Both come from the medical field. They treat each history with the right balance, so that you are informed and entertained, without feeling like you are listening to a comedy team. Warning- they do excellent research and give information & details that can be uncomfortable to listen to. I have passed on a couple of episodes that I knew would be too difficult for me.
