I absolutely love these stories. Extremely detailed. Just wondering why in hell Patch would have let his entire command get on the same ship inviting an attack ! What a tempting target indeed. And since in the preceding six books it would appear all of the submarines in the US fleet have been sunk !!! At any rate, thanks for the great stories !

Great story with a lot of action. The only problem I had was with the narrator! He did a very credible job but needs to work a lot on his characters voices. Some were completely annoying and made it very difficult to listen to.

Punk’s War reveals the inner workings of the US Navy as only an insider can. An authentic and riveting thriller, it is a highly acclaimed novel of a fighter pilot’s experience in the era just before 9/11. As the US military enters another postconflict period, the themes of leadership during crisis and accomplishing the mission make Punk’s War more relevant than ever.

I was an officer in the US Army during the 70's and 80's and after reading this novel and looking back during those times it would appear that the leadership, morale and general overall attitude of any of the naval officers of that time had to be horrible. I never experienced the bitching and complaining and lack of leadership portrayed in this novel. I"m certain Wards next one will be much better. To me the story was a real downer and wasn't much fun based on the negativity of the story. I certainly hope Ward did not have to experience this kind of treatment. Sill was an interesting read. Keep up the good work.

Story
With more than half a million copies sold, Robert Mason's Chickenhawk is one of the best-selling books ever written about the Vietnam War. Fascinated with flying from a young age, Mason earned his private pilot's license even before graduating high school. He enlisted in the army in 1964 and endured an extremely challenging "weeding out" process in an effort to fly helicopters. Sent to Vietnam, he survived more than 1,000 air combat missions despite the violence and brutality exploding all around him.

The story seemed a bit far fetched at times, I spent two combat tours in Vietnam one in the Infantry and one as a helicopter pilot and didn't see quite the drama as did the author but good war stories none the less. The narrator did a very good job but never once pronounced the names of the cities correctly. He probably should have asked a veteran for the proper pronunciation of the cities and passes we frequented. Good four star story. Thanks to the Author and the Narrator for a good job.

Great story, I like the Martian a bit better but I am so totally impressed by Andy’s absolute knowledge of all of the science utilized in his storytelling!! There’s no way the average author could write a story like this. Thank you for the wonderful effort I’m sure it took to complete this very very interesting novel.
