Cat mysteries
Reviewed: 01-08-20
Have listened to six cat mysteries by Carol J. Perry. Thoroughly enjoyed all and enjoyed listening to the narrator C.S.E. Cooney.
The main characters in the book are lovable and would purchase more books with these characters and the cat.

Story
When Lee Barrett spots the same style oak bureau she once had as a child on the WICH-TV show Shopping Salem, she rushes to the antiques shop and buys the piece. Just like the beloved bureau she lost in a fire, this one has secret compartments. It also comes with an intriguing history: It was purchased in an estate sale from a home where a famous local murder took place. The day after the bureau is delivered, Lee returns to the antiques shop and finds the owner dead.

Enjoyed the dog mystery. In fact had ordered the other two books in the series. It's not a book where the dog is talking, which is what I thought it might be from title. Thank goodness that wasn't the case. Will look for more mysteries by this author about dogs.

Joe Biden is fresh out of the Obama White House and feeling adrift when his favorite railroad conductor dies in a suspicious accident. To unravel the mystery, "Amtrak Joe" re-teams with the only man he's ever fully trusted - Obama. Together they'll plumb the darkest corners of Delaware, traveling from cheap motels to biker bars and beyond, as they uncover the sinister forces advancing America's opioid epidemic. Hope Never Dies is essentially the first published work of Obama/Biden fan fiction - and a cathartic listen for anyone distressed by the current state of affairs.
