Story
"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

I really wasn't sure what to expect. Initially, I wasn't sure I wanted to continue listening, but once Erin started interacting with others and the story expanded, I was totally drawn in. I listened to this one for free but have already bought book 2. It starts slowly, but the story is really good and never quite goes where you expect it to.

Good story, virtual narration needs some work
Reviewed: 03-24-24
I liked the story, a quick listen with minimal drama and angst. The virtual voice wasn't too bad, but there is definitely some AI learning to be done there. The virtual voice kept saying "dash", which I can only assume was an actual dash in the text. That was a bit annoying. There were a few other "funnies" that need some work, but the "dash" was the most pervasive.

Story
Seeing the dead has never been easy, but the last thing I expected was to be a pawn in a serial killer’s game. Moving in with Maddox was supposed to be the only thing we needed to worry about. Not a dead teacher, and not the fact that a serial killer knows my abilities. Following the trail left behind leaves us racing against time to figure out how to stop the murders before the final victim falls.

Funny and great narration by Greg
Reviewed: 01-10-24
I have read the book before on my Kindle, so I already loved the book (Alice Winters is so funny!). And Greg just brings it life with his great narration. He is so smooth and animated, and he brings the dry wit to life with flair. Honestly, Greg is one of my favourite narrators and I wish more authors used him. I just started listening to another book and the difference between Greg and this other guy is jarring.

Awesome series, narrator does a fabulous job
Reviewed: 01-02-23
I love this series! I've read the kindle books a few times now, and just finished listening to the audio books for the second time. The author has done a great job with this series, like nothing else I've ever read, in terms of the scale of the battles. The narrator also does a fantastic job with these books, especially the accents, and I will definitely look at other audio books narrated by him.

I love this entire series. I've read it a few times and listened to the audio books a couple of times as well. The author has written a fabulous story, like nothing else I've ever read. And the narrator is very very good, not just with a good pace and emotion, but also with the different accents. I will definitely look our for more audio books narrated by him 👍

I adored this book when I read it on Kindle, ridiculousness and all. And the narration for this audible version was amazing. The narrator nailed each individual voice, and brought Sam to life in all his special glory. Incredible job. I would give 6 stars if I could.

Holy Moly!
Reviewed: 07-10-22
Okay, so I have literally just finished listening to this audio book and I have to say, I had thought a few times throughout this story that it was one of the best I had ever listened to (both the story itself and the incredible job done by the narrator to not only bring the various accents to life, but overall performance as well), and now that it is finished, I am just blown away. I listened to this via a free listening on my audible membership, but this is one I will want to listen to over and over again. If I ever cancel my membership, I will have to buy this audible book. The storyline wasn't quite what I had anticipated, the expected storyline from the synopsis quickly followed by a whirlwind of two people on the run from a psychopath and their journey and self discovery along the way. Again I say "Holy Moly!" I highly recommend this audible book.

Story
Priddy's a lost soul in a part of Cornwall the tourists don't get to see. He's young, sweet-natured, and gorgeous, but that's not enough to achieve escape velocity from his deadbeat village and rotten family life. He's a drifter and a dreamer, and self-preservation isn't his strong suit. An accidental overdose of a nightclub drug leaves him fractured, hallucinating, with too many vital circuits fried to function in a tough world. When a friend offers him winter work in a lighthouse, he gratefully accepts.

A dreamy sort of tale, thoroughly enjoyable
Reviewed: 07-09-22
This was written in a dreamy sort of way, no sharp edges, if that makes sense. It wasn't quite what I was expecting and I confess I wasn't sure I wanted to continue when dastardly Jeff entered the picture. but I'm glad I stuck around, this was thoroughly enjoyable. In terms of narration, this was very well done.
