Excellent story!

I really enjoyed this book. It was very well written and dine cleverly as a diary of sorts. It was suspenseful in its own way as you really don't know how it's not only going to finish up but what is going to happen to each of the secondary characters. And it didn't disappoint in tying up any of the story lines.
I thought the narration was was very good. It is rare that I think I'll relisten to a book but there is no doubt that I'll do just that with this book.

Tana French's debut, In the Woods, hit the New York Times best-seller list and drew rave reviews from the Times (London) and Booklist. Picking up six months later, this riveting sequel finds Detective Cassie Maddox still scarred by her last case. When her boyfriend calls her to a chilling murder scene, Cassie is forced to face her inner demons. Any additional comments?
This book ranks in my top few favorite listens so far. Tana French is an artist that deserves high praise. The imagination required to dream up this very different murder mystery is second to none. The characters are portrayed with depth and forethought. I never guessed what was next and had a time putting this story down while never wanting it to end! The narration by Heather O'Neill was excellent and I look forward to hearing from her more.

His wife, state police trooper Tessa Leoni, claims to have shot him in self-defense, and bears the bruises to back up her tale. For veteran detective D. D. Warren it should be an open-and-shut case. But where is their six-year-old daughter?

Would you listen to Love You More again? Why?
I probably would listen to this again after some time. I truly enjoyed the story and the narrator!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Love You More?
I enjoyed the telling of how Tessa and her husband met and the romance that followed even though this is primarily a who done it!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I wouldn't listen to this book in one sitting because part of the enjoyment is thinking about the story and characters throughout the day. Take your time and enjoy. I would recommend this book and author to everyone that like a really good mystery.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I was very disappointed through out. It was too long for the story. I basically had this figured out early on and really didn't waver. I love longer books but only if they hold my interest and this just didn't.
I really did like most of the characters. Jacob has an interesting disability (not sure about that strong of a word, but best I can come up with) and supposedly people with Asbergers cannot tell a lie, at least that's so for Jacob.
Considering the length of this book the end poof, story is done. It seemed like just another page.
Would you recommend House Rules to your friends? Why or why not?
No, but maybe as revenge to an enemy. 😉
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
This was more of a performance because each character had his/her own part to read. I have nothing but good to say about the narration.
Do you think House Rules needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No way: I cannot imagine what else could follow.
Any additional comments?
I really like police procedural stories and this certainly was this story. If you also like this sort of book, have a a special interest in Aspergers or just love Jodi Picoult's books them please read it and enjoy!

Story
"Ninety-five days, and then I'll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It's hard to be patient. It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't."

If you could sum up Delirium in three words, what would they be?
Different, timeless, fantasy.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Delirium?
When Lena realized what she was feeling was love and it was worth fighting for, breaking the law for, a reason to live and leave.
Any additional comments?
This is not necessarily a book I would have been drawn to, but the reviews were so good and intriguing I thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did! Give it some time if at first you are not sure, as was I, about the style of writing. MIT was well worth the credit and the time spent.

Would you listen to Maisie Dobbs again? Why?
I could listen to this again after a while...it was a good, not dark, not just like the rest of the books out there, story. I look forward to the rest of the books in this series!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
It's not so much the edge of your seat sort of story. A mystery was being solved, a few mysteries actually, but it was more laying the foundation of a detective's life leading up to this case. Surprisingly intertwined characters in the end.
Any additional comments?
This series could have been written last year or ten years ago, but it doesn't matter like it does with current-time stories. Some of the series that were started in the nineties or early 2000's are dated, but this being a period piece you don't feel like its outdated.

Who was your favorite character and why?
Go...the truly honest one...
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not really, I enjoyed thinking through the story and characters when I wasn't listening.
Any additional comments?
I did really enjoy this book. The way the story was written, from each main character's side and hearing his and her's story in alternate chapters. The story was fresh and the plot, while dark, was also new.

What did you love best about Safe Haven?
The surprises in this book continued from beginning to end. I always enjoy the magic that Nicholas Sparks brings to his books and this one was, in my opinion, one of the best. This book had a little more suspense and mystery than other books by this writer.
What about Rebecca Lowman’s performance did you like?
Ms. Lowman's narration was excellent. She has such a great ability to go between men, women and children and make you feel that there really are several different people performing this story.
If you could take any character from Safe Haven out to dinner, who would it be and why?
The mysterious woman next door. I would like to know what she learned about the place she lived before she moved back to this town. 😉

What did you like best about this story?
This was a great listen! I loved the way this woman overcame her upbringing and the horrible night that sent her running. Weaving the security business she created into the story was intriguing. The author did a great job at keeping me guessing about the people that entered her life...are they the good guys or not?
What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?
I enjoyed the performance. Anytime I can listen to a good book and have the feeling that there are a whole host of performers instead of the single narrator I will seek out the narrator again. Julia Whelan is one of those narrators!
Any additional comments?
I love the wide range of stories Nora Roberts brings to book lovers such as myself.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I thought this book just drug on too long. I enjoy the longer novels, but this was too slow. I finally gave up near the end when I realized there were still over 90 minutes left and I still didn't care how it ended.
Would you recommend Relic to your friends? Why or why not?
I wouldn't recommend this one. As previously stated it was slow.
Have you listened to any of David Colacci’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I enjoyed David Colacci for the first time and would purchase a book he performed again. I like his strong, smooth voice and his various voices for different characters added some goodness to this book.
