كتاب "حدثنا الزمان" للدكتور عائض القرني، نجد فيه أنفسنا أمام أحاديث الزمان، حيث قام القرني بجمع الأفكار والتجارب التي هي ولادة مطالعات ومقالات ومواقف ومشاهدات وسماعات، أراد أن ينقلها لمن أراد أن يستفيد منها ويتأمل فيها.

هذا الكتاب يعلمنا تطبيق فن الإتيكيت (فن التعامل) في الضيافة والاستقبال و التواصل الجيد مع الآخرين بكل جوانب الحياة الاجتماعية والمهنية، وكيفية إتقان مهارات الاستماع والإنصات والتعامل مع الشخصيات الصعبة، إضافة إلى كيفية استخدام لغة الجسد بشكل راق ولبق، وتكوين فريق عمل واختيار القائد، والتعرف على مفاهيم الإتيكيت، وإدراك العلاقة بينه وبين الاسلام.

حاول طه حسين بأسلوب أدبي أن يكتب عن إحدى أخطر قضايا التاريخ الإسلامي وأكثرها حساسية، عن الفتنة الكبرى التي حصلت أيام عثمان رضي الله عنه، وامتدت آثارها إلى أيام علي رضي الله عنه، ومازال المسلمون يحصدون آثارها إلى الآن. ينظر طه حسين إلى هذه القضية، نظرة محايدة، فلا تصدر عن عاطفة أو هوى، ولا نظرةً تتأثر بالإيمان ولا الدين، بل هي نظرة مؤرخ يتجرد من العواطف والأهواء. ويحكي طه حسين عن هذه الفتنة في جزئين: الأول بعنوان:"الفتنة الكبرى: عثمان" والثاني: "الفتنة الكبرى: علي وبنوه".

النيل والفرات: يظن بعض الناس أن أصحاب الشريعة وأبناء الملة أمثال مؤلف هذا الكتاب لا يعرفون الحب، ولا يقدرونه حق قدره، ولا يدرون ما هو، والحقيقة أن هذا وهم وجهل، بل الحب العام أنشودة عذبة في أفواه الصادقين، وقصيدة جميلة في ديوان المحبين، لكنه حب شريف عفيف، كتبه الصالحون بدموعهم، وسطره الأبرار بدمائهم، فأصبحت أسماؤهم في سجل الخلود ومعالم للفداء والتضحية والبسالة. وقصد الدكتور "عائض القرني" من هذه الرسالة الوقوف مع القارئ على جوانب مشرفة، وأطلال موحشة في مسيرة الحب الطويلة التي بدأ الإنسان في حياة الكبد والكند، ليسمو إلى حياة الجمال والجلال والكمال، وسوف يمر بك ذكرٌ لضحايا الحب

تُناقِش الرّواية فِكرة التّعصّب الدّينيّ المسيحيّ والإسلاميّ، وتُحاوِل أن تُظهِر النّتيجة الّتي تؤول إليها الحال حينَ لا يحتمل الفرُد في المجتمع شريكَه فيه، ويُلغِي كلّ طرفٍ الطّرفَ الآخَر. ومن جانبٍ آخر تجتهد الرّواية في ترسيخ فِكرة الحِوار، الحِوار الهادِئ الّذي قد يُغيّر القناعات ويُبدّل الاصطِفافات.

"التربية الصحيحة لها دلالات وهي ذات شقين لا تصلح إلا بهما، فهي علم وعمل، ودعوة وتطبيق، وتوجيه وقدوة، فالمربي الناجح هو الذي يعرف كيف يكون النجاح ويوقن أن فاقد الشئ لا يعطيه فيدفعه ذلك للأخذ بأسباب التربية الصالحة في نفسه أولًا ومن ثم يهب ويعطي مما أعطاه الله."

لازمت العناية الإلهية الطفل في التربية والبيئة، فوضعت له في طريقه الأصدقاء الجيدين، فهوايته للفن تحتاج إلى صاحب، وقد كان؛ فعاش هو وصديق يدعى "محمد رجب" في الصغر يرددان الأغاني معًا، يحبان الفن معًا ويتحدثان عنه ويقطعان الوقت نهمًا في الوصول إلى كنهه، يحفظون أغاني محمد عبد الوهاب وعبد المطلب وغيرهما، لا لشيء غير أن حاجة بعيدة في قلبيهما تجذبهما إلى الغناء.

الغضب دليل علي ضيق النفس، وعدم قبولها بعض الامور التي تقع من بعض الناس، والغضب من الصفات غير المقبولة، الا اذا كان هذا الغضب لله ورسوله، علي أن المسلم عليه أن يوطن نفسه علي سعة الصدر، أمتثالا لقول رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم لم سأله أن يوصيه: قال له: " لا تغضب ".
