Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
We all have things in our life that we should know by now, but don’t. Absences in our knowledge and skillset that are frankly shameful in an adult. Things that would be too embarrassing to ask anyone to explain – except our very best friend. Listen in as Mel and Sue tackle their ignorance head on, asking each other to explain something that they still don’t know - but absolutely, as adults, should - from how to parallel park to fully understanding bread (why has it got all those holes in it? What, honestly, is yeast?).

Story
A bad best man’s speech can ruin a wedding. Why do we plan every detail of a perfect day and then give the groom’s idiot best friend five minutes of total power? Enter Nate (Glen Powell), a speechwriter-for-hire who helps people write incredible best man speeches. To keep the best man from embarrassing himself (and the newlyweds), Nate uses his list of don’ts: Don’t mention the exes, don’t be rated R, and don’t bum everyone out. Nate’s system never fails. That is, until he meets Dan (Nicholas Braun).

nostalgic stories
This audiobook aims to bring laughter and joy to its listeners through a collection of light-hearted and nostalgic tales. While I found the premise appealing, the execution didn't quite resonate with me. The stories weren't very easy to follow, and although well-intentioned, they didn't always hit the mark in terms of humor or relatability. However, I can see how they might appeal to a different audience. The narration is well done, with a lively and engaging tone that enhances the overall experience. Despite my personal disconnect, I appreciate the effort put into creating a collection that aims to stir up fond memories and spark meaningful conversations. It's a decent choice for those looking for a gentle and nostalgic trip down memory lane, even if it wasn't exactly my cup of tea.

Something to laugh about!
I had a blast listening to this audiobook! It's packed with hilarious stories about seniors that had me laughing so hard my dentures almost fell out! The tales of Murphy's Law on Senior Discount Day and the high-speed golf cart chase are absolutely priceless. The narrator's voice brings the stories to life, making them even funnier. The short, funny stories are perfect for quick listens. If you want a good laugh and some heartwarming moments, this audiobook is a must. It'll remind you that laughter truly keeps us young at heart, even if our backs disagree!

Fun Listen, brought back memories!!
A fun trip down memory lane which certainly sparked many happy times. The narrator was animated and a good storyteller. My husband and I listened to this on a road trip to a family wedding this weekend and it was very pleasant. In this day and age, when there is so much contention in the public square this was a really fun, light, enjoyable book. Thanks for reminding me of the serendipity of life.
