About this listen

A Bouquet of Bennets is a five book series in which each of the Bennet sisters marries Mr. Collins for different reasons. Each book is a stand-alone novel, and in this, the second book of the series, the Bennet sister featured is Jane. (The first being the story of least regarded Bennet, Mary.)
Mr. Thomas Bennet, seeking easy riches and a way to dower his daughters and fund his lifestyle without all the work involved in managing an estate has placed his estate and his family in a precarious position by going into more debt than he can repay.
Unlike in canon, the heir to Longbourn is Mr. Robert Collins, a contemporary of Mr. Bennet. Robert Collins has two sons, his eldest is Martin and he will inherit the Collins’ estate. His second son, Walter Collins, is his proposed heir to Longbourn and as such Mr. Collins desires to promote a match between Jane and the son who will someday be master of Longbourn.
I hope you enjoy Jane’s story and will be equally pleased should you read the first book, Mary’s story.

Very simplistic

The book about Mary was better. One thing I did like was it acknowledged that Mr Bennett is a selfish lazy loser
