Publisher's summary

It’s your last love who truly matters.

Owning a candy store should be a fun and delightful profession. Besides, what candy could beat Sally’s Elliot’s signature coffee chocolate fudge?

None, except for the unique infusion candy she designed for Valentine’s Day.

Unfortunately, the signature chocolate required for the candy won’t be delivered on time.

No problem. She’ll pick up the order herself.

When she reaches the diner where the delivery man is stranded, she retrieves the chocolate and intends to return to her shop. But a downed tree detains her. And the handsome, kind man who owns the diner makes her want to stay, especially after she accepts his challenge to prepare homemade delectable chocolates with him.

There’s something about Oliver Menroe’s gentle mannerisms, his genuine interest in his customers, that ignites a hope Sally had extinguished long ago. As a disillusioned single mother, she knows from experience that love doesn’t last forever.

But can she allow herself to believe that one simple ingredient can sweeten their mutual attraction and...for the first time in her life...create a lasting love?

Don't miss Josie Riviera's other sweet Valentine romances!

MY TAKE
What a fun little story. And I mean little. The blurb is almost longer than it is. ;) But really, it's a lot like going by a chocolate store in the mall where they offer you a sample. It's the beginning moment of a romance when the couple first meets and is forced to spend some time together. There's connection and some sizzle but especially two lonely people who finally meet someone they can open themselves to. I have no idea if there's more to Sally and Oliver's story, but I'd sure love to see more. Even the side characters were charming and interesting.

A delightful bit of sweetness.

I listened to the audiobook, and the Narrator Allyson Voller did a great job.

Chocolate the candy of love

It's chocolate, what's not to love? Another sweet romance by Josie Riviera about a single mom who owns what else? A candy shop. She ends up in a diner and finds more than a meal, she finds a second chance at love. For a foodie like me a sweet romance around food is always a winner.

Short story

A sweet short story of second chances, chocolate and a downed tree. Just right for a quick read. Also a yummy recipe at the end.

It’s all about the chocolate-or is it?

A short sweet Valentines story about what else -chocolate-and so much more. Not much longer than a Valentine card but sure to leave you with a smile. Don’t miss this.

Cute short story

pretty much just a meet cute, but it was sweet. I liked it, but I'd really like a little more story.

this was a new to me narrator, and I enjoyed her. I don't mind when they don't try so hard to have separate distinct voices for each character

A sweet Valentine's read.

A Valentine's day novella. The short read was witty and fun. Sally is stressed running her own candy shop and unable to get necessary supplies on time. She takes matters into her own hands to get her supplies, and she gets stranded at a small Cafe. The cafe owner is sweet and kind and here are the romance quickly develops.
