About this listen

"Marley was dead, to begin with...." And yet, he manages to visit his old partner, the miser Ebenezer Scrooge, and send him on a transformative journey, led by three ghosts. First to his own past, where he sees again the love he spurned. Then to the present, where he sees those around him going about their holiday preparations. And then into his own future, to see his just reward. A Christmas favorite, it will warm your heart with favorite memories, and remind you how the true Christmas spirit comes from giving with love.

solidly good performance of a christmas classic

not the best performance, but a very solid one. this narrator is one you can have in the background and be content. he doesn't do annoying screeching or contrived voices which is a plus. but his performance has nothing really stellar that makes it stand out. it is one i will add to my list of christmas carols, but not one of my favorites.

My Own Little Christmas Tradition

Several years ago I found this magical little audiobook of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The story itself is perfection, but the narration sets this one apart. The late Ralph Cosham seemed born to tell this story. Each year I listen to it over and over and I never fail to feel the joy and hope felt by Mr. Scrooge. I cannot overstate the immense talent and giftedness of Ralph Cosham’s storytelling.

Outstanding

Cosham is perfect in his interpretation of Scrooge. I rank this reading right up there with the Alistair Sim movie of the story. It is a must-listen during the holidays.

An enjoyable version

I’ve listened to many versions of this story and like this one best because of the narrator. Not sure why that is, but maybe it’s because he is a little understated. This is now my favorite version.
