Excellent Sweet Cowboy Story

Really enjoyed this story and it's narration. It would've been nice if Cady got a taste of her own medicine though. Loved the ending!!

A clean, enjoyable read

I have to admit I didn’t particularly enjoy the narrators style, by the end of it I had to admit she did a good job. The story itself progressed differently to how I originally thought it would. I can’t say this was a favourite book of mine but overall, it was an enjoyable, clean read with a happy ending.

(3.5 stars) - simple with a dash of camp

Though the plot is a bit by-the-numbers, Becky is a mary sue character, and the villainess is over the top, this hits the spot for those times when you want a good old-fashioned romance. It actually kind of reminded me of that old movie, "Tammy and the Bachelor" in several ways - except that Becky isn't a backwoods "hick".

The narrative is good and the character development is solid, if a little 2 dimensional, but the plot development is occasionally clunky & unnatural. It feels like it's trying too hard to get where it's supposed to be & forcing the characters to get it there.

There's a hint of the supernatural at the end which seemed odd, & it passed with virtually no notice from the other characters. I checked and confirmed that it was actually a hint of a connection to one of the author's other books.

*Clean romance level: sweet kisses

[The narrator has a pleasant voice & does a good job with the different characters' voices, though her Texan imitation is too strong & sounds more like Alabaman]
