Ghostly Southern Mystery series book 7. Paranormal cozy mystery. Best read as part of the series.
Emma sees ghosts of unsolved murder victims. This time it’s a child and her cat from many years prior.

Amusing that the ghost cat causes allergies in live people. Sad that the long time boyfriend takes a job in a different city which causes a rift in Emma and Jack Henry’s relationship. But since she’s regularly ignoring his cautionary protests, it’s probably for the best.
A good mystery that surprises in the end.

🎧 I listened to an audiobook version narrated by Tiffany Morgan who does the full series. She does a good job with the female voices. While it’s not done in a southern accent I’m very happy to say, I still found it a bit slow. I listened to most of this book at 1.4.

The story is a pretty good one but the virtual voice is so boring. There is very little voice inflection. It is very monitone. I have listened to several virtual voice books and virtual voice has gotten a lot better but not here. This is like when it first started. It takes so much away from the story, which would be so much better with a better narrator. I honestly feel bad for the author that her books get a lower review due to the narration.

Cute story. However The narrator Was hard to listen to As I couldn't tell if she was reading half the time. She was very monotone And I found her boring to listen to. Given someone else reading this book would have made it a much better story in Audible.

I really had to stop listening so many times because the narrator was pretty bad. Cadence, tone, inflection and often times, lack of, it was just killing it. Unfortunately, I won't be listening to the rest in the series
